Disliked: Cleanliness, staff & service, amenities, property conditions & facilities
Arrived a couple hours ahead of check in hoping to drop our bags so we could go out and enjoy our vacation. Was told that no storage was available, so we had to wait around in the lobby.
Chose to try out the on site restaurant. Staff there didn’t notice we had arrived, then couldn’t even be bothered to look up from their phone when I approached them. I felt like an inconvenience.
We were travelling as part of a special occasion, I asked the front desk about upgrading my room. The team member was uninterested and told me to “ask the person at check in”. I saw on Expedia app that I could do this.
I checked with the front desk again to make sure this had come through on their system - this seemingly upset the manager a lot as he showed an aggressive attitude to both me and his staff. Again I felt like an inconvenience and unwelcome.
The room smelled heavily of mould. Lots of condensation on the windows. No blanket, only a sheet on the bed. Not enough towels. The sofa was dirty and creaky. Only 1 remote between the 2 TVs.
I went to the front desk to ask for a blanket and towels. The blanket took 2 hours to arrive, it was dirty when it did. The towels never did turn up.
The hot tub was empty. The pool was dirty with the surrounding area needing maintenance.
Wasted an afternoon of our vacation as lack of basic standards. Chose to check out and go somewhere else. Management refused to refund me because they were “overbooked”. DO NOT STAY HERE.
