Gem in the South Pacific.
This is the best boutique hotel in Papeete. Location is central to everything, especially the ferry which is right across the street. There was an awesome Polynesian reggae band that performed at the rooftop bar, the vibe was electric.

Fantastic Six Days
It was a very easy check-in, location is right across the street from the ferry terminal which was not noisy. The room was very clean, organized and had all the amenities of home. Looking forward to a 2nd visit soon.

Great room, great location, noise an issue
The room was very spacious, the bed was great and the shower excellent. The balcony however was very tiny, impossible to really sit out there. Unfortunately, we were given a room overlooking a construction site but this was due to my concerns about noise on a lower floor. What was still a problem was the late night noise from the rooftop bar which indicated that the hotel is catering more to local entertainment than client comfort. Also, there was language confusion from reception staff with taxis organised for 12.30 pm when we had asked for 12.30 am. Overall the room and staff were great but the noise is something to consider.

The hotel is in a very busy area and over the weekend the restaurant upstairs was very noisy and it was hard to get in the elevator due to people going upstairs. We had to have a noise maker on to sleep. The rooms are lovely. The bed is comfortable and the coffee maker was great. Overal a very nice hotel and convenient to the ferry and restaurants

Wish our stay would have been longer!
This hotel is in downtown Papeete and only ten minutes away from the airport. The clean room was beautiful and furnished with a kitchen. The breakfast- the most wonderful spread of delicious items (I’m still thinking about it). We only had one day to explore and asked the hotel staff for recommendations. They went above and beyond, recommending a scooter rental company, circling beautiful spots to see and restaurants on the map. We had a great time on the island thanks to this property!

The Kon Tiki, while across the street from the ferry terminal, was a little too strange for us. The rooms were very sparse, the nice photos are from the restaurant on the top floor, the self parking is a block away, and the immediate area is a little seedy, with a small restaurant and bar and a discotheque.

Hotel Kon Tiki was a perfect choice to stay in Tahiti before going to Moorea. The location, across the street from the ferry, was so convenient. The room I had was huge and beautifully appointed. There's a little courtyard where you can have coffee, use the restroom, and charge your phone if you arrive early and are waiting for your room to become available. On my trip back from Moorea, I wasn't staying the night in Tahiti but for a small fee, Kon Tiki held my luggage so I could go to the market and to a local restaurant for lunch before heading to the airport. I always found the staff to be helpful and friendly. Thank you!

Kon Tiki is a great place to stay in Papeete. It is very much "in the city" and very accessible to everything. The staff is extremely friendly and helpful and the rooms are clean and generous. Plus it has a bar on the roof with fantastic views. Not a place to go if you want to be "on the water, or want a pool but for a day in Papeete it was perfect.

We stayed one night at Kon Tiki after flying into Tahiti before going onto Bora Bora. The hotel was modern, and our room was large and well decorated. There was a kitchenette area with nice table and minibar. It had a great coffee machine. Bathroom was very modern with open shower and bidet toilet. We had a drink and appetizer at the rooftop bar which was really nice with a variety of pizzas and savory bites. There was a nice view of harbor. This location is great for walking to the marina or ferry terminal, shops, and restaurants. The staff is friendly and accomodating.
