Smooth and easy, great location
Ideally located right off 123 between Paradise and the lower falls. Easy drive up to Whitefish point. Cabin is well-equipped, check-in and out was easy. Road is unpaved but there's only a very short distance between the main highway and the driveway so it's not an issue at all, though winter might be different. You're not totally secluded, neighbors can be heard at times but the deck is pretty well screened by trees, and there's only one house in view. The exterior isn't anything fancy, but the living area is classic knotty-pine cabin charm and there's a nice big deck. Good water pressure and plenty of hot water for the shower. Towels/sheets/toiletries included was a nice touch.

Not good experience
I recently stayed at the Timberlost Cabin, and I must say, it was a surprisingly disappointing experience. To begin with, the pictures online were incredibly deceiving. The cabin looked charming and rustic in the photos, but in reality, it is a Warehouse which converted to a Cabin. The entrance is not providing a good vibe and steps leading to the main cabin is not proper. Upon entering, I was hit with a musty smell that suggested the place hadn't been properly aired out in ages. The furniture was old and uncomfortable. The kitchen was another letdown. There is no dishwasher. Same scenario with the bathroom and was perhaps the worst part of the cabin. There is no privacy with the one of the room. If the cabin can accommodate 4 people at at a time, I would definitely have to say that the bathroom will give you hard time. Additionally, the view from the cabin was obstructed by overgrown bushes and trees. There was no proper path to explore the surrounding area and mosquito all around the place. Overall if you are going to UP for relaxing in a group, this is not the place definitely.

Great place to stay for centralized location to visit eastern UP. We went to Whitefish Point, Tequamanon Falls, Crisp Lighthouse, Two Hearted River and Pictured Rocks. This was a great place to stay for our visit.

Girls weekend
We all loved the place. Nice location, perfect distance from the sites. It rained during our stay so we did not use the firepit or the deck/grill but would definitely come back to this particular property in the future for longer than a weekend.

Clean, Comfy, Cool
I stayed 3 nights with my husband and in laws and definitely will book again. The cabin was spotless, we had everything we needed and more, and the location was incredible. Short 2-hour trip to Pictured Rocks, 5 mins trip to Tahquamenon. Got to see everything we wanted to during our stay. Everything was perfect!!! Can’t wait to come back in the Fall.

A great stay in Paradise
This was a wonderful place in an isolated area yet really central to the falls and other great places to visit in the eastern UP. It was comfortable, clean, and had everything we needed. It was easy to contact someone with questions and they responded quickly. And as a special treat, there was a Whip-poor-will on the deck the first night we were there. We will definitely stay here again next time we're in the UP

Tahquamenon Falls
Super close to Tahuamenon Falls State Park. Very quiet area, well stocked, clean and comfortable. Nice deck for relaxing or out by the fire pit. Would stay again and recommend to friends. There is a stair case to get up to living area so if you can't navigate stairs well if wouldn't recommend. No issues for us but elderly people may have issues.

We liked the location as family members were camping at the Falls so we were very close to them. The place was very quiet, comfortable and we felt safe. The deck, decor and view were added pluses. Thank you! Check in , check out very easy!
