We stayed two nights at Pousada Praia Serena and enjoyed every moment of it. The owners and staff were friendly, accommodating, and generous on all levels (they kindly allowed us to check-in earlier and borrow their canoe while constantly making sure the food and pousada facilities met our expectations ... they did). Friendly BB, quiet, good location, great breakfast
A very friendly and lively owner; very convenient BB. Located at the edge of a beautiful 'local' beach, not over-touristic, with a row of pousadas that seems to cater to Brazilians mainly. Good, comfortable and quiet sleeping, a couple hundred meters from the usual beach cafes and eating places, plus a small supermarket. Easy and nice walk to town (c. 25 minutes). The best breakfast we had in Brazil: tasty and fresh. Easy to reach by taxi (there is also a bus, but don't expect timetables). Rooms are big, simple, with all one needs. There is a small pool too. Parati and the area are so beautiful, we are sorry we had only two days there. In June-July don't miss Cheiro do camarao (shrimps) beach kiosk, 4 km out of town.

Just like coming home!
Simon and Helena were fantastic hosts who made the guesthouse feel like home for us. They were extremely warm and welcoming and went out of their way for us. We didn't have great weather over the few days we were there but the rooms were cozy and, with the town only a short walk and Simon's excellent recommendations, there was still plenty to entertain us.

Bon séjour
Nous avons passé un bon séjour à l'hôtel Praia Serena de Paraty. Très bon accueil , Helena et Simon nous ont conseillé tous les jours pour l'organisation de nos journées. La chambre standard est vraiment très petite, pour un séjour de cinq nuits nous nous sommes sentis très à l'étroit . Le petit déjeuner est excellent et très varié , des fruits frais, plusieurs jus de fruits frais, café, thé, chocolat et céréales variées et aussi des œufs préparés à la demande. Si vous souhaitez être au calme c'est l'endroit idéal mais il est plus confortable d'avoir un véhicule car l'auberge se trouve à environ trois kilomètres du centre historique de Paraty ce qui représente environ trente minutes de marche. Cependant pour le dîner il y a un très bon restaurant qui est très proche : " la luna"

Muito boa pousada. Lugar tranquilo. Ótima limpeza e excelente café da manha. Pessoal atencioso e muito prestativo. Senti falta de prateleiras ou armario para deixar as roupas no quarto. A TV posicionada sobre a cabeceira da cama ficou esquisita.

Excelente relacionamento humano, estadia e café.
Donos extremamente atenciosos e simpaticos que dão ótimas dicas de passeio. Café da manhã simples, mas maravilhoso! Quando voltar à paraty pretendo me hospedar la novamente. Fica localizado num local calmo e cheio de quiosques/restaurantes próximos, com uma caminhada tranquila de 15 min até o centro histórico.
