We stayed for two nights. There was two of us and wanted something affordable and in a good area. Definitely would stay here again! It isn’t a place to stick around and enjoy since there isn’t any amenities, but if you are adventuring in the city and just need a place to stay I recommend. It was clean and orderly. The rooms were a bit tiny and the elevator and staircase were a little of a hazard, but again, if you are just sleeping here and wanting to save money, it is a great option.
It would have been good to have tea and coffee making facilities in the rooms. Otherwise it was a nice clean hotel and the staff were very friendly and helpful.
Very lovely stay at the Hotel Clauzel and would highly recommend this to others.
It's an easy 15 minute walk from Gard de Nord (which was our main priority) and rue des Martyrs is absolutely lovely with bakeries, boutiques, bars and a convenient supermarket 👍
The room was very clean (bathroom slightly dated) but a good shower and comfy beds was all we needed on our city break! There is a lift the size of a coffin (so not for anyone who suffers with claustrophobia 🙈) and the stairs to all the floors are no mean feat!
The reception staff were polite but not over friendly hence the 4 star rating rather than 5...they all seemed a little bored to be honest?!
This hotel is VERY good value for money and accessible to all transport links. Literally a 10 minute walk and you're at the Sacre Coeur/Montmartre area 😊
We would definitely stay here again and happily recommend to family and friends. It's a hidden gem and perfect for a Parisian break👌
Good for the price, comfortable and reasonably clean but not spotless. Noise proofing is not great so quite a bit of noise when other guests are going to/from their rooms.
Staff friendly and helpful, location great.
I'd like to give five stars for overall rating but there was some disturbance/noise during my stay which woke me up very early in the morning. The noise came from either staff working downstairs (not receptionist) and some guests who walk down the stairs. I was probably unlucky because of my room location which is adjacent to the stair. Perhaps other room are much quieter.

Liked: Staff & service, amenities
Loads of nice wee shops and cafes around the area and metro 5 minute walk
To be honest, it was the worst hotel I have ever stayed in. The bathroom was smelling, the tv was not working, and the old phone not working also. Nothing in the room to tell us the nr to dial for reception. The room was very hot. No A/C neither no fan in this weather.
I don't like services. When we reach at there they told about country tax which was not mentioned anywhere in information. When we went in room they didn't provide room service or not any staff person came to show room and directions. They gave key and said go. When we went in room there is some bad smell so we started fan but it was in broken condition and created to much noise. When we asked for water they said we need to go outside and purchase water by ourselves because they don't have water. After long travelling we expect proper service from your side but we didn't get any single services.I request to you please provide me compensation for inconvenient services.Because of all this we face to much trouble.

Me and my son stayed here for one night in August when we visited Paris for the Olympics. We were really pleased to get this hotel and thought it was very reasonably priced considering the Olympics. If I recall we paid approx £100 for this room (not including breakfast).
My primary concern was: is it clean and is it comfortable? And the answer is yes and yes in terms of the bed though the room was let down by not having any air con or fan available but thankfully I brought my own small fan.
Although we were staying one night we were really pleased that we had a balcony which was nice to go out onto in the morning. As for the room itself it had good charger coverage, good free Wifi and the shower was good. I should also add that while there is noise coming from the street I did find the double glazed French doors were very good at keeping most of the sound out.
I would certainly stay here again especially if I wasnt visiting in the summer. Couple of other things worth knowing about:
1. Nearest Metro is a short walk away. Its Saint-Georges thats on the M12 line.
2. There is a wonderful bakery just up from the hotel called Maison Arnaud Delmontel.
3. We went to Bistro Smiley near the hotel which serves excellent food.
