Peaceful Cabin located in beautiful Des Moines River valley

Cabin sits on almost 2 acres right across from the Des Moines river , boat ramp just 1/4 mile away . Home has everything you could possibly need for a relaxing get away in the woods . Cabin is log and knotty pine inside . This cabin was built by my father in 2003 as his retirement home . We welcome well trained dogs , there is no fenced yard and lots of timber all around so we recommend keeping on leash as there are lots of deer crossing thru property daily . Boone is just a 10 min drive , Ogden 15 min . Don Williams recreation is also just 5 min drive . Come relax , rewind and just enjoy the peace and quiet of the country .

This cabin is well-equipped with amenities, is located in a quiet, secluded and beautiful location. We saw deer and other wildlife in the big front yard. We will definitely stay there again!!

I had such a wonderful time! From the moment I opened the door and came into the cabin to the time I closed the door for the last time, it felt like I was home, that this was a place to be able to be off, to just recharge. This cabin in a little place out in the country had everything one would need. I look forward to the next time I am able to stay here. I cannot recommend this place high enough.

Quiet, Remote, Exactly What We Wanted
My son and I wanted a remote place to stay outside of Omaha because of the loud fireworks on the fourth of July. This was one of the only places I could get and it was well worth it! In the middle of the beautiful Iowa country side, near the river, was a quiet escape for us. The place was larger than expected, cozy and comfortable. It had wifi and dog friendly. So, we unpacked our laptops and sat around eating junk food and playing video games avoiding the fireworks! While you're probably not like us, if you enjoy being in nature, the woods, in a quiet place this is for you. Also, the owners communicated very well with clear instructions. Highly recommend.

Comfy, quiet hideaway
We were so impressed with this cabin. Everything in it was cozy, comfy, and well thought out. The kitchen had everything we needed, the bed was super comfy, and don't get me started on the luxurious giant jetted bathtub. The location was great: a quiet lot that felt very private, beautiful trees, and tons of birds visiting the feeders outside the window. We loved that our dog was welcome and there were several thoughtful amenities geared towards his safety and comfort as well. The host was very helpful and accommodating, and we got timely responses to all messages we sent. All in all it was a very relaxing visit. Would definitely book again!

The cabin was absolutely perfect, exactly what you would expect a cabin to look like and super spacious. The kitchen was fully stocked, everything was clean and comfortable, and the property is gorgeous. The bed is a sleep number which we loved because my husband and I have completely different ideas of what a comfortable bed is, and we both got what we wanted. There were plenty of notes to help us know where everything was and how to work it (like the thermostat!). The expected cleanup at the end was super reasonable and no more than I would do for a regular hotel room (pickup our own garbage, strip the bed, wash our dishes). We didn't watch the TV's so I can't vouch for those but honestly the peace and scenery is enough to entertain anyone. We really enjoyed our stay, it was better than I had imagined and I would highly recommend this cabin to anyone looking for some peace and quiet.
