The large kitchen and the dining room provide great spaces for cooking & dining, playing board games or simply spending quality time together. The living area and front porch overlook the Cuyahoga River and Towpath Trail providing a great place to relax while enjoying a morning cup of coffee or an evening a glass of wine. The kitchen has been remodeled as of January/February 2025 and includes induction cooktop, built-in convection oven/microwave and many other conveniences. Photos will be posted in late February as renovations are completed.

Friend Holiday!
This property in Peninsula had an ideal location (steps away from front door!) for lovely riverside walks, canal lock visits, and local shopping and national park/holiday tourism. Inside, we made good use of the well stocked kitchen and cozy communal areas for big meals, board games, and quiet snuggle-in times. Paul was a great communicator before and during our stay!

Perfect Peninsula Location
The house is short walk away from the Towpath, within walking distance of the cafe and the Winking Lizard. The house itself was perfect; larger and more charming than I expected from the photos. Great hospitality. We arrived to a bowl of fruit, bottles of local wine, coffee, and a nice welcoming note on the blackboard. Fantastic communication with the host. We had such a great experience that I immediately rebooked for next year.

Great Outdoor Getaway
My husband and I were looking to getaway for a long weekend. I kept coming back to Paul’s listing. It’s is even better in person I love that it’s walking distance to restaurant and Cuyahoga’s park attractions while feeling peaceful. It has everything you could need if you want to cook in (which we did). All the little touches made our stay specials. Paul was very responsive when I reached out with a question during our stay.

The property was amazingly located just yards off the Towpath. We appreciated that the kitchen was well stocked with spices and other minimally perishable items. They even provided bug spray which was so considerate. My one comment is the bedroom to the left had a terrible mattress and was way too soft so we transitioned to the upstairs bed, which had a lot of space and was very comfortable.

Relaxing Get A Way Close to All
This property encourages you to relax and enjoy nature. Its close location to the Towpath trail was a huge bonus as we didn't have to drive into town to get to food or shops. We could just walk instead. If you like to hike or bike, a great place to relax and spend time with nature.

I don’t even know where to begin. From the beginning Paul has been a great communicator and such a gracious host! We had time to kill between a family wedding and a conference and found his historic house and so glad we did! It’s super charming and has a great location! He went above and beyond making us feel welcome with wine, fresh fruit, restaurant recommendations and great weather 😎. Highly recommend!

Ideal location for CVNP
We stayed for 4 days at this wonderful house. The house is thoughtfully provisioned and we had everything we needed and more. The beds are the best we found at any of our VRBO stays, a bit on the firmer (7/10) side as we prefer. We slept soundly even in the middle of a heat wave (94 degree highs). The house also has some of the original character, which was very refreshing. Hot water was plentiful for showers, plumbing was working and there were no issues with the house. The location worked out very well to explore CVNP. Peninsula OH is centrally located in the park. It is only 30 minutes to Cleveland or Akron. However, we spent most our time on the tow path (yards away), exploring the park, or driving mins to nearby towns for food. The dining in Peninsula itself is not that great. However, plenty of great options within a 10 min drive. I cannot think of a better springboard to explore CVNP. Book without hesitation. Bring your bikes, kayaks, walking legs and appetites.

Central to Cleveland and Canton for Hall of Fames. Plenty of golf courses within 30 minutes or less. Suited our needs. The wine and fruit basket were very thoughtful and appreciated. Used 2nd floor bedroom because the water system in basement was a little noisy for sleeping.

Return to Home Memories.
My Grandfather's farm was in heart of the National Park. My daughters and I enjoyed visiting Oak Hill the site of his farm. The hike around the pond brought back memories of gathering hickory nuts and picking blackberries on the farm. The entire area that was home to me so many years ago. Lunch in downtown Peninsula hiking the trails. Our stay was comfortable friendly and full or memories.
