As always, the staff are what make the Corfu Palace so special, they are charming, helpful and always remember you. The poolside bar and gardens are also a delight. It will be interesting to see what the new owners do as regards renovations of the bedrooms and dining options.

Early 1960's style glamour and elegance paired with gracious hospitality on the edge of Corfu town. It's a short walk to the historic fort, the Liston and the charming streets and cafes. While they advertise that they offer transportation, they actually just call you a cab. If you are trying to get there from the airport, we simply went to the office marked Taxi near the airport exit. They were prompt and fairly priced. Upon departure, the hotel staff called a taxi to get us to the ferry ticket office and then on to the port. With the translation help of the hotel staff, the process went smoothly.

This property is beautiful and fit for royalty. Breathtaking views of the Ionian Sea, superb service, huge salt-water pool, and very peaceful. Breakfast had an incredible buffet selection, including fresh squeezed orange juice when you select your oranges to put in the machine. The interior and exterior are gorgeous, and the location is walkable to historic sights, shopping, and food. Also walkable from the airport.

Not a 5 star hotel - apart from the view
We have stayed here many times over the years, and its the view, the fantastic breakfast and the friendly staff that have made it worthwhile. However it is well and truly in need of a renovation (which I believe is happening later this year). Its very expensive for what it is, very tired, definitely not a 5 or even a 4 star hotel. Most of the staff were fantastic as usual, however we had an unfortunate experience when we checked in and paid our "eco" tax in cash. It wasn't recorded anywhere that we had paid, and when we queried it (and were asked to pay it again), we were made to feel like we were lying / dishonest. Seems odd not to have any sort of CCTV in a reception / cash area. It left a bad taste. We resolved this - but not as easily as we should have been able to.

It’s dated, yes, but well preserved and great
The hotel is a bit old/dated, yes, but so are other properties in Corfu. The hotel was great all around - great location. Great view. Walkable to the old town. Friendly staff. Nice breakfast with a view. I’d certainly return when in Corfu.
