We loved it! It was so classy and regal and elegant. It is an amazing old mansion that has been converted into a hotel and modernized in very tasteful ways. It is on a large beautiful property along the river. On the property they also have the largest clay pigeon shooting range in the country I believe. And they also offer fishing and ATV riding. There's a great restaurant with awesome dinners that also serves the breakfast. They also have a spa and a large pool and a gym and dry and wet saunas. It was such a relaxing place to hang out and a great location with a lot of cute towns and things to do nearby. You can just feel the age of this place when you walk around. Even the trees are big and old. We had such a good time.
Beautiful property & location on the river. Dinner in the onsite restaurant was excellent.

Nice setting but overpriced for what you get. Room small and very noisy. Could hear the man next door snoring. Bed not very comfortable. Also found the food and drinks expensive. Breakfast average.
We really enjoyed our stay. Was a lovely warm afternoon when we arrived and it was really nice being able to sit outside with a cold drink. There was a wedding party staying but the hotel never seemed too busy. The staff were very attentive.

I’ve stayed here about 20 times over the past 4 years and have always rated The Dunkeld House Hotel and I’ve seen the hotel excel however this recent stay was the polar opposite.
It’s the small things that let the hotel down and they’re mainly based around young untrained, unprofessional and unfriendly staff.
There is also a WiFi issue that isn’t staff related as well and could easily be rectified. The WiFi is so slow the Outlook app wouldn’t open and websites wouldn’t render. In fact, it was that poor I couldn’t even do a broadband speed test.
So, the issues were:
The first night I ordered a ginger beer and was left without a drink initially (10minutes stood at the bar) and then when the drink turned up I had to explain a glass was needed and the top would need removing from the bottle to be able to drink it!!
I booked a table in the bar to dine on the first night (I’ve never had to book a table to dine in a hotel bar) when the table was ready the meet and greet staff didn’t show me to the table, she just pointed to the end table and told me to “sit there”.
Both the tables to my left and the table to my right had to ask to place food orders, order drinks and get their final bill. No staff engaged with them and I had the same issue.
When I finished my food I was left for 15 minutes with an empty plate. Couldn’t attract anyone’s attention and none of the waiting staff would stop when I tried to attract their attention.
I binned off a dessert in the end as it took
Rather a mixed experience. The hotel building and grounds were impressive and we found the staff mostly pleasant and helpful. We appreciated being able to have breakfast tray brought to the room. But there were three significant negatives that would put us off from coming back:
*One night there was intrusively loud music from a wedding until late. We came here specifically for a peaceful getaway so that evening was spoilt.
*Room cleaning, including the toilet, seemed superficial.
*We requested a late checkout and only got 30 minutes. Staff seemed to view the request as an opportunity to get more money from us. Given we were paying top dollar for a suite, I really expected a higher level of service.
Beautiful hotel, friendly staff, room was immaculate. Price of wine at the bar a little steep, £12.50 for a 175ml glass! Breakfast was excellent, fantastic choice. Would stay here again in a heartbeat
Lovely traditional hotel with modern touches. The room felt very luxurious, with comfortable beds and a nice bathroom. Dinner was good, although disappointed not to see more local produce - there’s salmon fishing right outside the hotel. Staff were friendly. Overall a lovely night away.

Location. The riverside site is almost too perfect.
Disappointing service and standard of food in the bar and restaurant during the day and evening. Inexperienced staff led to repeated wrong drinks orders, errors on bills and dreadfully slow service when the bar was virtually empty with multiple staff. Breakfast on the other hand was tasty and efficient.

Bar service very slow, I suspect due to a shortage of staff, the staff that were there were very good and friendly. Calum was especially good for such a young chap. 10/10
