We loved the property. It was nice to be in walking distance to restaurants and Reading Terminal Market. Staff and valet were great, but very pricey. They required a minum of $250 hold for an incidental charge for only one night. This was a lot more than most other places and costed us more than we paid for the room. The valet came to $70 after taxes for one night.

I really liked the breakfast. Rooms were newly remodeled and the bathroom was very nice. Also, it was quite helpful to have a mini kitchen with cookware inside the room. The elevators and streetlevel lobby were not very inviting. A lot more can be done to spruce up those areas.

Pre-paid via Expedia. When I got there I put a card down for incidentals. After I left I noticed my "incidentals" card was charged for the room ($391). Not for the amount but for $250 twice. So overall I paid $775 for a room that costs $271. I called the front office and they said I would be reimbursed (5-7 business days). Do not pre-pay at this hotel!

There were 3 of staying. We had daily issues with the room cards. Sometimes the elevator would work, but not the room. At times even the elevator would not register are cards, so we had to go back to the desk, to have it reset. Other than that the stay was awesome.

Perfect unless you're a light sleeper

Beautiful hotel, fantastic shower. Heating/cooling worked wonderfully and easy to operate. Very clean. Breakfast buffet was the best I've had in a long time! Great location in the city. Only complaint was the outside noise- blasting music and constant horn honking made for constantly being woken up. Be nice if there was a way to muffle outside sound more, but not sure how.

Super Cozy Stay!

I recently had the pleasure of attending a conference in Pennsylvania, and I spent a night at the Element downtown. It was my first time there, and I really enjoyed my stay! The view from my room on the 22nd floor was incredible, and the bed was super comfy—perfect for relaxing after a long day. All the staff were friendly and helpful, especially when I needed to store my bags while I presented at the convention center. I really had a fantastic experience and would definitely love to stay at the Element again next time!
