Amazing place! So glad we chose to stay here away from the towns. We were still really close to Caen, Bayeux, and the WWII sites and even Mont St Michel! since we rented a car. They also upgraded our room to the deluxe! It was very spacious with amazing views from both windows. Highly recommend everyone to consider this hotel during their stay in Normandy. Oh and they also have like 5 kitties that stay at the place that are very friendly! Definitely a bonus for this cat lover 😅

What a wonderful place! We are a family of four and were worried that our two boys would run out of things to do but they loved it! The garden is big enough to explore, play football, badminton and get lost in. The swing and outdoor shower were an added bonus. The house is perfectly located 1hr from Caen, 20 minutes from Vire and an easy drive to the D day beaches. There is a beautiful lake near by which has pedalos and canoes for hire and for adrenaline junkies there is the Normandie Luge and Aqueduct nr by where you can bungie or fly through the air on a 2km zip line trail. Close to large supermarkets but also a little shop 5mins away in the local village. The house if beautifully kitted out with everything you would need. The only thing I would change was a more comfortable sofa to watch tv in the evenings Thank you Marc for letting us stay in your beautiful home.

Had extended family (12 of us) all staying in one place including a toddler, young kids, tweens and 6 adults! The place was perfect for what we needed. The pool was a big win, excellent amenities in terms of crockery, glasses, cutlery kitchen equipment etc. Garden was lovely and we had almost no complaints. The only comment we have is that the property is very tired and must be very difficult for Marianne to keep clean by herself. This is not a major complaint from us as there were several children and lots of us so would have felt very uncomfortable trying to keep an immaculate house clean!!! This is not an immaculate house. Some of the sockets are loose and there are fixtures/fittings in need of repair. One of the chairs collapsed when we sat on it(!) But again this is not a complaint, it is probably a plus for such a large family in one place. We left it cleaner than we found it :) Marianne was lovely and showed us the old photos of the place and the work that was done (and is still to do!). I loved looking at the derelict parts and considering whether I could find £250,000 to buy it!! All in all an excellent stay and I would book again. But just a word of warning for others - it is rustic, French countryside shabby chic...sans le chic. Extra thanks to Marianne who was next door on hand whenever we needed but not too much that we felt uncomfortable. Merci Beaucoup! A bientot!
