We were greeted at check in with a glass of Frizzante at 9pm by Marco..a great start! We had a downstairs room in the charming B&B Pisa Tower which was exactly as described and photographed. We enjoyed a bottle of wine on the terrace (after Marco found us a bottle opener!) on the first night and even strolled the 500m to the leaning Tower at midnight. Very serene and tranquil. A previous guest review stated that they did not like the underpass to the city... we didnt mind it as the pathway is high above the cars on the road, well lit, and railed off. It can be loud while cars pass but its only 150m so it was fine. The B&B itself is lovely,.. very Italian, very clean, and comfortable. Breakfast is cold meats, cheeses, croissants, cereals, yoghurt... plentiful, and the made to order coffees are wonderful. The one minor issue we had was dogs barking at the back of the property at times overnight which woke us, but it wasnt constant, and being very happy with the hotel overall we didnt bring the matter up. It was too minor to make a fuss over, and we are a happy traveling couple that know that there are some things that are beyond peoples (Marco's) control. He went out of his way to help us with many things, bottle opener, offered to cook us pasta at 10pm on arrival (we didnt need it), opened his secure parking area for our car, called ahead to our next stop in Florence to make an enquiry for us....a great host. Dont worry about the underpass, come and stay here, its lovely!!!
