Great stay.
We stay in this area frequently and have always stayed in chain hotels This will be our choice in the future. Very quiet, exceptionally clean, very helpful at the front desk, reasonably priced.

Nice little place off the beaten path yet right by the highway. I could nitpick about the small little things showing age but it was clean, comfortable, and affordable so we were happy and would stay again

This was an excellent stay. A charming woodsy resort. Old cabin style decor. Rooms were clean and well maintained and staff was helpful and attentive. It's a very nice location with balconies for every room. The rooms on the backside have a woodsy view. There is a conference center and a Pizzeria Uno on property. The continental breakfast is what you would expect but was still good. If you are looking for a relaxing place with a charming vibe this is it.

This place was seriously so cute and we really enjoyed our stay! Only thing I would recommend , room 211 definitely needs some attention to the bathroom counter before someone leans too hard and it falls. Other than that. We would absolutely stay again and we appreciate the hospitality <3

I have never stayed anywhere that made an issue of bath towels…..until now. We had two towels in the room and need three (one for husband and two for me - hair and body). We went to the desk on day one and asked for a third towel and were given a hard time, saying their policy was to limit towels provided to folks. We explained why we needed three. We were eventually given a third towel and had to provide our room number-not sure if this was being logged somewhere. Days two and three - same thing, because housekeeping would come in the room when we were gone and take three and leave two. (We would have hung a do not disturb sign on the door so we could keep the three towels, but there was no sign for us to use.) We can’t believe this was even an issue! What hotel makes patrons feel like criminals when asking for a TOWEL!? Bed was rock-hard. As others have stated, facility and room were very dated and ‘beat up’. We did not mind that, as we read other reviews and knew what to expect. We didn’t see adequate plugs near both sides of the bed. There was a small balcony overlooking a small wooded area. We were checked in my Rob, who was very welcoming and helpful. Rob was also NOT one of the people we dealt with about towels. Rob was great. We have family in the area and it would have been nice to have found a place to stay when visiting. Unfortunately, we didn’t find that to be the Spring House Inn.

Very nice place to stay. The only reason i didn't give 5 star, and I'm sure others probably thought the same, but there's no elevator as far as i know. Carrying everything was a little hard for me. The other was, maybe there is a reason, there were no chairs to sit on the balcony to enjoy the view. Other than that, i appreciate the comfortable place you made for us to stay after a long drive. Thank you. The housekeepers are awesome.

We stayed at this property on our way to Chicago since it was near Indiana Dunes. Although it had a unique lodge look in a pretty wooded setting, I would only give this hotel a "average" rating. The staff was not very friendly, the room was clean but very outdated (and noise easily heard from other rooms). There was breakfast but very limited, so we didn't eat there.

Lost our business for good- horrible experience!
A great check-in on the afternoon of November 2nd, during which we were told by our friendly host at the counter that we could check out 1/2 an hour later than normal. This offer came after we told him that we were repeat customers and very much enjoyed the location. We asked if there would be a charge, to which he said no. Fast forward to the next morning, and as we were packing and getting ready to leave (now 10 minutes after the normal check-out time), there is a knock at the door prodding us to leave. My fiancé explains what we were told the night before but it makes no difference, apparently. 5 minutes later and there is another knock, during which my fiancé explains AGAIN why we were not out yet... except this time we are rudely told that the host from yesterday apparently had "no power to offer what he did". Even if true, how on earth would WE be expected to know that? Instead of recognizing the importance of leaving your paying customers feeling like they are appreciated... (for example- "sorry for the misunderstanding- in the future, please know our check-out time can't be altered" we get an extremely cold brush-off. Turning in my room keys, I get an extremely terse "thank you" and no eye contact from this same lady. We've given this place well over $1500 worth of business over the years and overlooked the often less than ideal room conditions. Over a petty matter of a few minutes you've just pushed us to your local competition. Unbelievably DUMB!
