Budget accommodation better suited for short stays
You need to be a heavy sleeper as the walls are thin. Bathroom, although shared, was clean. Staff were helpful and I was glad that parking was available. Kitchen facilities were basic so come prepared with your dishes, although a fridge is provided. The area itself doesn't offer much for the tourist but there is an award-winning beach nearby where the water quality means that it's not recommended for swimming at.

4 night stay
Lined clean and bed comfortable but room could do with a deep clean, especially the light fitting. Bathroom sink is so small as to be useless except for handwashing and as the porcelain suface is damaged should really be replaced for health reasons. Overall what one expects from a 2 star hotel.

Had a cracking stay here at southsea rocks. A banger of a hotel. Everything is as very clean and staff were good as gold. Would go there again.

Lovely hotel with a great warm welcome by very friendly and helpful staff. Very deceiving as bigger inside than you would think. Other guests seemed to be very polite and respectful. Room had everything I needed including a lovely bed that delivered an excellent nights sleep. Very easy and simple check in and check out process. Bathrooms and shared spaces were immaculate. In a great location too being so close the the seafront and plenty of places to pick from to eat out. Will certainly be returning. Thank you Southsea Rocks for an excellent service and delightful hotel.

Lovely hotel would definitely return. Everything was clean and well looked after. The staff were very helpful and couldn’t do enough for us. Close to Gunwharf shopping centre and right on the beachfront! Excellent stay :)
