This property is a joke. The "historic" room we stayed in had water stains in the ceiling, unfinished tape and spackle and not a single artwork or pictures on any walls. The room was at best a Holiday Inn, minus the cheap artwork. I was assured more than once that we would be staying in the actual Beekman Arms, but upon arrival I was told there was an electrical power issue that forced our change of rooms. I spoke later to a pub employee who told me, no, that was a temporary outage that was fixed with twenty minutes time. I was shocked at the absolute absence of any notion of guests or maintenance at the property. I have traveled the world in the last 30 years, and I have never seen such a blatant rip off at a hotel property. We went there with great expectations NOT ONE of which was provided. Disgraceful.
