Nice hotel on the main street. Staff was friendly and helpful. Rodney's restaurant attached to hotel is excellent!
The shower area (shower/toilet) was a little small.
I recommend it highly.
The hotel is a nicely remodeled building in an old business district in Presque Isle on Hiway 1. Many food options are available in and near the hotel. The hotel staff was pleasant and helpful. We did a fair amount of walking and found several nice parks. My wife and I stayed here two nights because we were doing a driving exploration of Maine (excellent trip). We went to the very top of Maine (Madwaska) and did not find options in small towns on the way back down. We decided to drive about 30 minutes off our chosen path to stay a second night.
I was placed in the last room in the back of the building, by the exit door that slammed shut. There were no mesh curtains to allow natural light in and block the view into my room from people standing in the parking lot (unsafe). The room is very dated. The hotel was not fully booked and they could have placed me in a different room.
The restaurant was great (staff, food, atmosphere). The crew at the hotel were very nice and professional.
Stayed here this past weekend for a few days to move my son into school there. Loved the hotel, staff, restaurant. Very clean and comfortable. Can't wait to come back.

I wanted to love it.
PROS: The common areas have been updated and are very nice. The Restaurant as well. Staff was very friendly and attentive. Beds were very comfortable.Location and parking were excellent. Room was spacious and clean. CONS: Elevator not yet working. The room had an odor and had a wrinkled faded green rug with blonde furniture and paintings from the 80s. The rooms need desperately to be redone like the rest of the place. No water pressure at all in the shower. OLD and stained toilet seat.Chairs were old and I sank in them. Restaurant not open for breakfast or on Sundays and there was no continental breakfast offered.
Very nice place with good restaurant and bar conveniently located. Very good air conditioning silent.only problem was the elevator was out of service and staircase was narrow and steep. Friendly helpful staff.

I genuinely appreciate that the folks are trying to save this old hotel, but the facilities are just so dated and obsolete that it’s a labor of love at this point as opposed to a 3 or 4 star hotel. The prices within the on-site restaurant, “Rodney’s”, are absolutely absurd for the level and quality of the food, and for that area. I paid less for a formal filet mignon dinner at the Hyatt in the Dallas, TX Airport than I did for a lobster roll sandwich at Rodney’s? I wish them the very best, but for the price, I will likely go back to staying at the Hampton Inn. A hotel really needs elevator banks and key cards in this day and age. For these prices, patrons shouldn’t have to be dragging luggage up and down 3 stories of stairs, with old 1980’s room keys.
