All the staff were fantastic. Aside from one woman, I believe overnight? She didn't have a good attitude whatsoever and when in need or requested service, (for example, cups ran out in AM for coffee - asked and she just kept telling me how she had just put some out, & complaining about it until finally getting them, and providing me with a stack to restock, not restocking herself but handing me a few) she was also extremumly

Not a Good Experience
Cabinet doors and drawers missing in kitchen. No coffee maker. No cups in kitchen or bathroom. Lights burned out. No ice in ice machine. Requested noon checkout at desk - housekeeping woke us up before 11am. Dirty towels in bathroom.

Room was extremely dirty with hair and dirt on the bed like an animal had been in the bed. Room smelt like animal as well. Guy at front desk was very nice and let us change our rooms but the cleaning staff needs to step up and make sure the rooms are clean.

We spent one night here on a quick trip to visit family in Providence. The bed was comfy and the heat/ventilation system worked great (important on a cold winter weekend!). There was some hair on the vanity in the bathroom, but the rest of the unit seemed clean. We were provided with only one bath towel. There was no number provided to call the desk, so I went down to request another towel. It never arrived so we just had to share the one and use the hand towels. My biggest issue is that even though ESA touts their studios with a kitchen, there are no dishes or anything else provided! They have to be requested, something not mentioned in their elaborate online promotion of the hotel. No flatware, cups, plates, nothing. We drank out of our water bottles all weekend! I requested a coffeemaker Saturday afternoon which also never arrived. It's a shame that ESA is so obviously skimping on the basics that any traveler would expect at a hotel. They have a good business model and they're an economical option. I willl hesitate to stay at one again knowing that they over-promise and under-deliver on hospitality. It wouldn't cost them that much to correct the deficiencies, and possibly get more repeat business.

First of all, when I arrived at 1:40am on Saturday, 12/14, the front desk clerk told me they had overbooked for the evening. I had to then find another hotel to stay for the rest of the night, and it's impossible to book a hotel online for the night after midnight. Second, I haven't gotten a refund for this extreme inconvenience. I didn't end up finding another hotel to stay in until an hour later, and having only gone to bed after 3am, I had to work this morning 10am. This overbooking was totally unnecessary and rude. This is why my review for this establishment is bad.

Run for your life
It was god awful. I kicked off my shoes and within seconds my socks were black and filled with hair. Hardly any soap or shampoo. I made a path from the bed to the bathroom with the towels so I didn’t have to walk on the floor after my shower. I really had no other options but to make it through the night there. Drunks everywhere and a real unsafe feeling. My wife was even hit on by a man with a bottle in a paper bag while we attempted to get onto the elevator.
