Property was in excellent condition with a beautiful ocean view but our experience with Castaway was horrible. First they had us pick up or keys at Sonoran Spa, picked up the keys and when we got to the property the keys only worked for the outside door. And when we called and called Castaway, there was no answer. Finally went back to Sonoran Spa and come find out they forgot to provide us with the keypad lock number/combination. And finally, no one was in the office when returning or keys at check out. Called Sonoran Spa again and they were surprised that no one was at the agency. They had me drop off the keys in a suggestion box outside the agencies doors. Loved the property just not the rental agency.

Beach Bums
Everything was great, except the inconvenience of the checkin and checkout process. There were four of us total, and we came in 2 separate vehicles at very different times of the day. Because the reservation was paid with my card, nobody else could pick up the key, until we completed paperwork work and sent it electronically. The whole process took us approximately 2 hours. Additionally Las Gaviotas has an on-site office, however, the key has to be picked up and dropped off at another location fairly far away. On a positive note, everything else was excellent! The condo was in very nice condition and spacious with great proximity to the beach and restaurants.. We really enjoyed RP!

Nice place but overpriced
We enjoyed our stay, the places was beautiful but expensive with over $250 in extra fees. The location is on the beach but the public beach and it gets super packed.. Way too packed. The key needs to be picked up going into Peñasco, so we had to drive all the way back to pick up. We had to sign my life away and leave a $200 deposit. Before we headed to Peñasco I asked about bringing a side by side, they took forever to respond. We took our side by side and ended up paying an additional $40 for parking, $20 for the trailer and $20 for the side by side. My daughter tried to visit and she was treated bad and asked to leave or pay extra. She left and it was very sad. She was staying with friends down the street and was just stopping by. This will be the last time we use Castaways, just too expensive with added costs after added costs.

The reason I booked this property was more for its location rather than beauty. Rocky Point has come a long way as far as their resort style living and this is not that. It does have a pool and fairly nice access to the beach but if you want to relax by the pool with some cocktails I would go elsewhere. The condo was very nice and very clean but my only qualms about it are that the beds in the condo I stayed were definitely too hard so nobody in my group got a good nights sleep and the lack of “resort style” amenities. But other than that a very clean and decent place to stay for a good price.

Beautiful Property
It was a beautiful, spacious condo very close to the beach but distances enough from the larger resorts. The photos did not do the place justice. Amenities were great. Only drawback was having to get the key from another location.

I give this gem 5 stars even though the code on the door didn’t work, but we were able to figure it out. Pictures do. Or do this place justice and being so close to everything is was great. Especially thankful to 3 Boys fish market for taking care of us everyday for our seafood fix. Will definitely be back

Spent 1hr checking in.
Pretty nice place but took me a while to get checked in. I got a call saying if I didn't get there by 5:30pm that I would have to check in at sonoran Spa Hotel (understood). I arrived at 5:10pm, guy at gate wouldn't let me in, (I should have printed out my itinerary) drove to sonoran spa to get key, drove back and found out there is a pin pad to the door, couldn't figure out how to work it, and didn't know the code. The man at the gate just kept saying put in the code. Lol...apparently the paperwork during check in had a the code on it put no body pointed that out to me. After we figured out how to put numbers in the pad we got in and the place was great. Pictures dont do justice on this place. The gas grill was out of propane, but they came and fixed it with a phone call.. The wifi and tv were awesome as well, all the channels to include Netflix. I would def stay again, especially since I can work a key the pad.

Loved how clean and beautifully decorated!
So close to the beach! Very roomy! Kitchen had everything we needed to get a few groceries and cook at the condo. The property is also kept very secure making sure if you are not a resident or renter you are not allowed in property. We would definitely stay again!
