We just returned home from our trip where we stayed 9 nights at the Krystal Grand in Nuevo. The resort was far too noisy and busy for our liking. More attention needs to be given to the music being played by the pools. Many people are there to relax and enjoy the sound of the waves crashing - so the music should reflect that relaxing vibe. The techno pop music booming was downright annoying. The WIFI throughout the resort is very spotty and unsatisfactory. On a positive note - the food and service at the a la carte restaurants was very good. We will be looking for a quieter resort next time.

When we first arrived we were very much dissatisfied with the room as it was nothing like what was pictured. It was small, dark, dingy and out of the way. I advised my Expedia online travel agent and they did nothing for me. I contacted the altitude rep who with 2 days upgraded our room to king ocean view with balcony. So much nicer. The staff was amazing from beginning to end! Louis and Omar are the bartenders for all your drink preferences. Josefine (spelling?) was the best for concierge, bookings etc. Sky bar is a bit lack lustre. The little pool in there and surrounding deck is need of upgrades. Same with the tall chairs and tables. It is a great space but could do better. Biggest complaint is chairs….. you can not get one around the pools or beach without joining the “entitled” people and setting your alarm at 4:30am to put a beach towel/sandal or hat to reserve a spot. The adult infinity pool had great views of the ocean. Buffet was excellent with a huge variety of foods and kept with refilling. Fresh and yummy. Love the walk ability to Bucerias on the Yellow brick road but just watch no lighting at night so bring a charged cell phone or you can choose to walk the beach to Bucerias. Lighting at night also an issue there. Always felt safe. Had an issue at the resort with a lady trying to jump off the 9th floor but the hotel security handled the situation quickly, and efficiently. Overall it was a great experience. Many beach activities nearby, resort activities too.

The property is beautiful, and the beach was absolutely the highlight of our stay. The resort itself is on the smaller side, with fewer restaurant options than other resorts we’ve stayed at. The food was generally fine, but nothing memorable. Booking à la carte restaurants through the app was frustrating, although the concierge was helpful once we raised the issue. We travelled with three kids (teens/tweens) and were disappointed with the activity offerings. Activities often alternated between the family pool and adults-only areas, which limited what the kids could participate in. We were especially disappointed that the foam party was adults-only. Our kids have loved the activities at other resorts, and this was a deal breaker for us. This resort wasn’t the right fit for our family, and I wouldn’t recommend it for families with older kids. Pool chair availability was another challenge, with many guests reserving spots extremely early in the morning. Staff were friendly and hardworking throughout, though they often seemed understaffed. One standout was the New Year’s Eve party, which was excellent and had the best food of our stay.

Property is beautiful. Pool is amazing. Restaurant's are delicious with enough options. Rooms are bit worn but very useable Overall we had three generations and all of us enjoyed it. Staff is great too. If you have little kids may want life jacket as pool was 3”9 deep but they have lots of shelves.

For some reason, we only got two days of housekeeping service. Odd.. COULD NOT find a chair on pool or beach for 4 days. You allow people to hold chairs at 4am. Not fair. COULD NOT get reservations for dinner??? WE WERE ON OUR HONEYMOON…. Concierge was amazing and tried his best. Overbooked and not fair to new guests. I would like a possible do over with a few nights on you for the inconvenience etc. I did complain a lot but none could help. If we can come back and get a few nights on you we will pay for the other nights and try again?

Beautiful resort, absolutely loved the infinity pool. The buffet food was very good as well! We cancelled our dinner reservations pretty much every day because we wanted to stay in the pool for as long as possible and we absolutely didn’t mind the buffet. My only mild disappointment was the beds. Double beds are just a bit small for 2 grown adults. There is an option for 1 king bed but there was 3 of us. Need options for 2 queens in 1 room. Also I think the beds itself were a bit old. Other than that, everything else was great! And we would definitely return!

Room was great, setting was great, pools and beach were awesome. Two concerns: food was pretty bland; and communication was non-existent. You never knew what was going on, whether there was a program for Christmas, whether there was anything for New Year’s etc.

The staff were fantastic. Helpful and hard working. The evening entertainment could be improved. Mostly just loud music dance parties, very little creativity. Lobby chairs need replacing. Food was great and the à la carte restaurants we visited were well done. Lunch was the same each day…a healthier option would have been nice. All in all we had a great stay with our kids!

What a great place to stay, everyone we met were great, helpful, friendly, knowledgeable, will to help. The rooms were spotless, very clean, food at the buffet was always great, the specialty dining was also great. Wonderful beach access. My suggestion is to visit the Sky Bar, Manuel was the best bartender.

Like pretty much everything about the Krystal Grand Nuevo Vallarta. Resort is on the smaller size so doesn’t feel crowded, food is consistently very good, staff are friendly, beach is nice.
