I just stayed here with my partner and our friends for a week. When we first walked in the resort seemed to look really good and clean but as soon as we got to our room we were disappointed. The bed sheets had stains on them and the shower had barely any pressure and was not very secure on the wall. We also had a leather ottoman in the room that had sharpie all over it. The drawers in the bathroom weren’t very sturdy either. During our first evening there we decided to go to the pool only to find there was vomit floating around the pool that wasn’t being cleaned up. The only saving grace was the lunch and breakfast buffet and the staff we encountered were very kind. The speciality restaurants weren’t worth it in my opinion. The resort looks a little rundown when it comes to the rooms and the pool. If they just spend a little time making sure the rooms and amenities were in good condition, it would be nicer for the guests staying. There wasn’t too much to do during the day so we ended up leaving the resort quite a bit during our stay. I wouldn’t recommend staying here and definitely won’t be coming back.

This place will not help you.
I would not recommend this place, not because of bad service but because they couldn’t help me with a personal matter and lost more than $2k. I get you have rules but there should be exceptions for special circumstances. I tried multiple times through hotel.com but I dint not get any help. I love PV but will never go to this resort. Hope you enjoyed my free money.

Buffet food was great. We only stayed 5 nights so they only allowed us to dine at the ONE a la cart restaurant even tho there were 3 on site. Drinks were very inconsistent between bar tenders. We requested a king bed but got 2 doubles, sheets were very thin had to request an extra blanket. One pool and not many things to do on site. We left the resort a lot, felt safe. Staff were kind. Rooms were always cleaned in a timely manner although they don’t supply face cloths so bring your own. Room service was an extra charge.

The area is incredible, the food is great for the price, but there are definitely some areas of improvement. The pool was a touch too cold, with the kiddie pool area being freezing. The drains near the pool made the whole area smell like sewage. But for the cost, it truly wasn’t terrible. I’d stay there again all things considered.

Property was nice... small pool for the size of the hotel... no water equipment for free (like other hotels offer paddle boards kayaks and snorkeling) limited reservations for specialty restaurants you only got 1 reservation per every 3 days of stay. (Other similar hotels are unlimited you just need to make reservations) some servers were only friendly after you give the tip...otherwise they were not the happiest. Food was average and not many varieties same food everyday for breakfast luunch and dinner... everything was at extra cost. No free room service... no snack bar...food was donw by 1030pm and rhe lounge bar was closed by 1am... The items from the bedroom fridge was limited to. 3 coronas 2 waters 1 7up and 2 Pepsi.... if you needed more than the items above it was Extra cost.... overal I would probably not stay at this hotel again as I think other hotels would have better service better food option and less limitation for something that was advertised as ALL INCLUSIVE

We just spent a week here and it was very nice. You really can’t beat the location near the beach and the shopping nearby. The staff was incredible and the hotel is extremely beautiful. We had a nice seating area outside our room facing the garden which was perfect. The only issue we had was the food wasn’t the best for us. The Tokyo restaurant was great, but we didn’t really like the other food options, unfortunately. It was my first time at an all inclusive so maybe that’s common. We had a great time anyway. Thank you Occidentale!

My wife and I were celebrating our anniversary and hoping to enjoyed a relaxing time, but unfortunately, it was quite the opposite. We arrived around 1130am and no rooms were available, so we waited until 3pm. Once in the room, (old, out of style room), we noticed a loud sound coming from the air condition unit, We told front desk and they sent maintenance 3 time to the room before they decided to move us to a different room until 9PM, So we packed up our stuff and went. We were exhausted from our trip so we slep with same noice, but this time, water was coming down the ceiling od the bathroom. Again, I let front desk and sent maintenance and told me they needed authorization from supervisor, but supervisor was not around. Then after asking, they said tjey had authorization, but the room would not be ready until 3pm. We were very disappointed and frustrated. Finally, a room opened up around 2pm and we were able to stay in a very different building with better bed, and a balcony after moving 2 times. I will probably no be coming back to this place!

Good food and dining options. Although you have to make reservations 24 hours prior to eating at the restaurants, which isn’t a big deal. Our room flooded on the first night due to the fan on the AC in the ceiling but was fixed and cleaned relatively quick. Not too far from Vallartas malecón. Overall good stay.

This was our second stay at this resort & it was as wonderful as the first two years ago! Small & intimate, with fast elevators. Clean, well maintained, with very responsive & helpful staff. Obviously they are treated well, since many are familiar faces that have been there for years! Special shout out to Carlos in the Lobby Bar for the best coffee, Jesus in Royal Restaurant, Ascencion in Valet for awesome service! Extra special shout out to the Entertainment Crew - Carlos (OMG!), Jesus & Eva, friendly & enthusiastic - who tirelessly keep people moving & having fun from morning til night and never lose their great smiles! We love the Royal upgrade - the Royal Lounge is quiet, attentive and food is excellent! It's also our favorite a la carte restaurant, though all are delicous & steps above the daily buffet! Japanese Cooking Table is especially fun! Tried out the 'free room service for Royal' option for first time - outstanding!! This property is perfect for 'young at heart' folks like us looking for low-key R&R, but also great for families with young kids. Lovely pools, exceptionally clean sandy beach that is wonderfully walkable. The Massages on the beach are exceptional (fixed my hubby's shoulder issue) and great value! The little 'store' on the beach is a fun place to explore for floaties, water shoes & other beaching needs at a great price. Supporting local! We look forward to going back again soon!

Stayed here for 10 days.option of dining at restaurant is only 3 times for ten days, plus restaurants are horrible. We were party of twelve, but everytime at buffet or restaurant we had to sit at 3-4 different tables( 4-4-4, of 4-4-2-2) as their seating plan is not good at all. Even when we had booking of 4 people in room, they will provide 3 towels. 3 water bottle, when asked for more they said it will be extra charges for service. Other than few friendly staff everything was horribel, no towel cards and each time we go to get beach towels they would ask us to go to oblyy to get towels stay away from this resort as much you can.

Smaller resort but beautiful. The buffet was always good, lots of options even my picky kids found food they liked. My only complaint is that there is only one main pool. The second one was a kids pool which is shallow and cold. The third pool is for “first club” people. Staff was friendly, check in and checkout went smoothly.
