The hotel is situated right in the heart of Old Quebec. Convenient and walking distance to all the attractions in the area. The room was clean and modern. Great Restaurant just below the hotel. The only downside is that the property didnt have its own parking space but one can pay for covered and heated parking space for $20/day which is just a few walks away from the hotel. Overall we really enjoyed our stay at hotel St. Anne.
Loved our room, it was spacious and comfortable and very quiet. It was convenient to shopping and restaurants in the old Quebec and walkable from the hotel. Reception people were helpful.
My only suggestion would be that an information folder be in each room with information about what services the hotel provided , how to operate TV, and restaurants in area.
Night attendant was not very informative. He had an issue with the language (English). We arrived at 9:30 pm and the restaurant was closed. Incorrectly we were told there would be no places open around us, I found several within a15 minute walk) . There was another issue with a later check out 12 instead of 11 am. The carpet is old and dirty (carpet tiles). the entry way to the shower will not allow for anyone over 200 pounds. No space to hang or put your clothes while in the bathroom. I would not stay here again if traveling to Quebec
This was my first visit to Old Quebec City and I have done extensive traveling! Hotel Sainte-Anne was a top choice because of the location. The staff was so helpful and the food at the hotel restaurant was outstanding yet reasonably priced. We look forward to going back to Hotel Sainte-Anne since it check all the boxes for us! Delightful trip!
After a pretty bad start during check in due to some misunderstandings and misinformation my stay ended up veing was exactly what I needed ... easy, calm, friendly staff, safe environment.
This hotel is bare bones so if you want lots of amenities, etc this is not the place for you. Also the building is historic so expect creaking sounds and other things that come with structures built in the early 20th century.
The rooms are basic but well appointed ... and have lots of character. There is not much of a lobby but no worries because the restaurant on the ground floor is a place where you can easily hang (not to mention they have great food!).
All in all I would recommend Hotel Sainte Anne.
The location of this hotel couldn't have been any better; so convenient to everything in the old town. We felt we were in the heart of the place.
The rooms were well equipped and clean and the bed was comfortable. If I'm being critical, there's a noticeable lack of outlets in the room (it's an old building), and the bathroom is a minus both for extremely dim lighting (not good for make up application), and for an impractically small sink. Can't refill a water bottle in it or do much of anything but wash hands. The positives outweigh the negatives when you look at location, helpful and knowledgeable staff, overall cleanliness and bed comfort. But the bath could use some fixes, with lighting being the easiest.
The rooms are small to our standard since we are from the US. The location is fantastic. There are two negative factors to take into consideration: there is no parking space and the bathroom wall is glassy toward the bed so when we tries to leave a light for going to bathroom at night, it was way too bright. If these two factors are not relevant, then it's a GREAT hotel.
