The facility is in a somewhat sketchy looking neighborhood, but the main gate to Quebec City is only a 7 to 10 minute walk. The B and B itself is quite elegant, being decorated in the style of the late 1800s. The room we had was quite comfortable, but needed some minor maintenance. The sink and bathtub were very slow to drain. The breakfast was nice with fresh croissants and eggs cooked to order. All in all, I would rate this property as a 7 out of 10.
Such a quirky place to stay. Chat from the owner was minimal and after touring USA and Canada we are used to lots of chit chat. It would gave been nice to get some history on the place.
The Facility was very unique and beautiful. The history, art and furniture was nice and felt historic. Climbing the 3 stories of stairs was a lot especially with luggage. The bed was comfortable and the room and bathroom were very clean. The breakfast was very good with homemade items. It was a good experience.
Wonderful welcome and service in this eclectic property. Good location with many restaurants near by. Bathrooms modern and clean. Nice breakfast with eggs made to order.
Amazing room and building to stay in and so convenient to Old Quebec. Philippe is a gracious host and provided a wonderful breakfast each morning. Having somewhere to park our car within a short walk was a bonus. Highly recommend.
Anyone tired of predictable accommodations in standard hotels will enjoy a taste of former grandeur at Chateau du Fauburgh Quebec City where the pace is leisurely and the service quietly understated.
This place was such a great surprise. It felt absolutely Palatial. The furnishing was so cool. I felt like we were in a French Chateau in France. The parking was included a little offsite, but we managed okay. This place is in a great location we were delighted to find we within walking distance to Old Quebec City. The breakfast was nice and serviced in a beautiful formal dining room. The bed was very comfortable. We really enjoyed out stay here I recommend it.
It is rather unassuming from outside, but beautifully decorated within. We felt we were in a Grand French Chateau.
One draw back is the many stairs you must climb to get to your room.
What a beautiful place! Truly remarkable building and furnishings. So charming! We loved our stay there. But, I will say, the 3rd floor rooms are a LONG way up the stairs, though!
