Very nice hotel. No elevator so we had to stay on the level closest to the cages birds that started chirping very early each morning. Not a fancy hotel, but still very clean and accommodating.

The only thing I didn't like was that on Expedia when I registered and booked the hotel I paid one amount for a family room for 5 people and it turns out that when I arrived at the hotel the reception told me that I had to pay extra money because the price was an Expedia problem. not from the hotel and cost was valid only for 3 people, which in the Expedia information said it was available for 5 people. The reception denied it and I had to pay extra for one more person and it didn't seem fair to me that they would lie to the client that way. from Expedia other than that they gives me an room next to the party event which was done at 12 midnight those two things bothered me other then that everything was awesome.

Pensión Bonifaz is a beautiful place located in the heart of the historic town of Xela or Quetzaltenango. The hotel has a charm of a historic building that matches the town. The staff is extremely friendly and knowledgeable. The restaurant offers delicious breakfast.

Durante los dos días que estuvimos en el hotel la piscina estuvo ocupada con una conferencia por lo cual no pudimos hacer uso de la piscina, la piscina debe ser para el uso de los huéspedes los cuales pagan por ese servicio, las conferencias deben de ser en los salones de conferencia, nunca en la piscina o al menos dejarle saber a los huéspedes que no podrá usar la piscina. Gracias

Pensión Bonifaz is a very nice hotel located right in central square which is beautiful specially at night. There are nice restaurants nearby.

Really amazing stay, I loved everything. The staff is kind, there is so much history, the prices are good value, and they also include breakfast. But the best is the generous checkout policy at 1pm for everyone. :)
