First of all, this is a hostel (not a hotel) with private rooms. There are no frills, no television, limited wi-fi, and limited housekeeping service (the towels were not exchanged, the garbage was not emptied, and there were limited toiletries - think soap only) on a daily basis. I also did not have hot water for showers.
The host was friendly and greeted me upon arrival. But, you have to be let out of the hostel by the host (via key) and re-entry is also by the host - so while you can come and go as you like, you have to ask to leave and re-enter.
Breakfast was not a full-buffet as advertised but only fruit, tea/coffee, and rolls.
The location is far enough away from Fochs Square that you don't hear most of the noise from traffic and bars. But it is also close to the bus line for convenient transportation into centro historical or the bus terminals. Taxis are readily available in the area as well. It is also a safe area to walk for the most part.
Also, this is a cash-only establishment (despite what is advertised). You need to pay for your room with cash... no credit cards accepted.
