There are no words to describe the absolutely amazing qualities of this property. We have rented VRBO's all over the world, literally; and this home did not disappoint. From the minute you drive up, you know and realize that this is a home that has been cared for and loved. Every detail of care is seen throughout the entire property. The landscaping is superb and offers many opportunities to sit back, relax and soak up the beautiful South Dakota weather and atmosphere. The interior lacks nothing. The details of someone who truly loves the home and the area are evident in every aspect of decoration. From the moment we requested our booking, till the minute our plane landed, the hosts, Kay and Joe, made sure that we were comfortable and at peace. The check in process was seamless. The house inviting. The area, perfect. This home is located just 5 minutes from Safeway and 10 minutes from main street downtown. This being said, while in the home and on the property, you feel as though you are miles away from any city life. The property has the feel of being secluded in your own dream world. We loved the fact that the amenities of town were so close, but yet so far away. When we were looking for a place to stay for our trip to Mt. Rushmore and the surrounding areas, we looked at many other homes. We looked in Keystone, Sturgis and Deadwood. Thankfully, we found this beautiful home. All of the above destinations are within about a 30 minute drive from the home. None of the above destinations could have come close to the perfection of this home. As we visited these areas, I looked around to compare and was never disappointed in my choice of this property. I was actually very glad that we had not chosen to stay in any of the busier areas as they appeared to be quite touristy. Touristy was not the vibe we wanted. We wanted the rural yet close in feel, which we got! I will tell everyone I know about this home and suggest that they rent it when they visit Mt Rushmore and the Black Hills.

Home away from home...
Everything we expected and more. Hospitality was fabulous and Kay thought of all possible needs to make the home complete. There was a welcome snack basket, fully stocked cabinets, appliances you expect at home, kids games inside and out, laundry supplies, and much more that caused us to not even think of anything we may be missing, including a great massaging recliner. Location is also in close proximity to city restaurants and a great home base to Rapid City, Keystone, Spearfish, & Deadwood. Nice quiet neighborhood and sweet deer visitors right in the street and yard at dusk. Our family had a great time and only wished we did less sight seeing so we could've enjoyed the home more than we were able to with out packed itinerary. Great hosts and Kay was very accessible and responsive when needed. We definitely recommend this home and hosts. If we return in the future, it will be our home base again. Thanks for making our stay spectacular.

Our stay in this lovely home was just perfect. We couldn't of asked for a better host who helped us with so many things and was alway just a close text away. The home was so comfortable and in a great location for all that we did in the area. Would definitely recommend and stay here again.

We were very happy with our stay in this home. The distances to Mount Rushmore and the Black Hills were less than an hour drive. It is near major restaurants, fast food, Target, and grocery stores. The house was located in a residential area so it was very quiet at night. The neighbors were friendly. The communication with the owners were excellent! Even when texting late night, the owners responded quickly. The house was professionally cleaned and the bedrooms were like hotel rooms!

Beautiful home, perfectly manicured lawn, close to everything
We had an amazing time at this property in Rapid City. It's located in a cute little quiet neighborhood. The house is beautiful, immaculate with a perfectly manicured lawn. Morning coffee on the porch was a highlight for us. The kids and teenagers enjoyed playing games in the back yard. We barbequed and enjoyed the evenings outside. The beds were comfortable - two rooms and two couches that pulled out. We had a total of 6 in our party and it worked well. They provided everything we could ever need including snacks upon our arrival. The owners were very helpful, texting us multiple times to make sure we had everything we need. It was short drive to Mt. Rushmore, restaurants and many of the tourist attractions and not too far from Sturgis as well. Would definately stay here again.

Comfortable, Family-friendly Vacation Home Away from Home
This was our first time using a Vrbo listing and were quite impressed with the ease of booking and check-in and the quality of the home we chose to stay. The home was located in a quiet, safe neighborhood, close to Safeway and restaurants, and acted as a good base for the tourist attractions. It was very clean (passed my high standards) and was well stocked with the necessary bed, bath, kitchen, and laundry amenities as well as board games. We liked having access to DIRECTV for movies during our down time and Alexa for music. The backyard was beautifully landscaped and had a nice patio to hang out. This was a spacious home for our family of 4 (with two college-age boys), and it could have comfortably accommodated another 2 adults/kids. The owners were friendly, easy to reach, and respectful of our privacy. They provided a welcome basket, brochures, and binder with their recommended restaurants and activities as well as house instructions, which we greatly appreciated. Kay called us the week prior to our visit to answer any questions and gave us helpful information. Thank you, Kay and Joe, for the use of your home! We definitely would come back again!

Quiet neighborhood home with good indoor and outdoor space for the 2 couples in our group. Appreciated the well supplied kitchen, good internet and TV. This was a great centrally located home. Super close to Post 22 field. Extremely comfortable for 2 couples. Loved the covered back deck as it rained almost everynight and it was great to watch the lightning. Great to have AC as it was pretty warm a few days.Beds comfortable and had all the amenities of home. Kay and Joe were easy to work with. The washing machine and dryer were awesome to have. I would totally recommend this home.

The property was in beautiful condition and had everything we needed for our too brief stay! Beds were exceptionally comfortable. The pull-out couches were both previously made and ready for our use. Well stocked kitchen and Board Game closet. Enjoyed our breakfasts on the back porch. The communication from Kaye and Joe was very helpful and welcoming. I recently stayed at this property with 3 of my friends. It could not have been more pleasant. We all found the check in simple, the house very clean and our hostess extremely helpful. She even included a "How to Book" with restaurant recommendations, entertainment options and everything we needed to be comfortable in the house. Our privacy was respected. Wonderful home base for our vacation❤️
We loved our stay in this beautiful home! It was very clean (which is very important to me), spacious and comfortable. They had so many special touches throughout. The kids loved having all the games to play, cable tv to watch and a relaxing backyard to explore. It was nice to have a washer and dryer to clean our clothes after a long day of hiking. The neighborhood was very quiet and safe. Everything about the home and yard was simply immaculate! Such lovely landscaping in both the front and backyard. The master shower was great. We really can’t think of a single negative and would rent again in a heartbeat😊. The owner was very sweet to deal with and contacted us to see if there was anything we needed (which we didn’t). The location also fit our needs fine in our travels to Mount Rushmore, Spearfish, Deadwood, Custer State Park, etc. (of course, I love driving through the mountains and think the journey is half of the adventure!). There are plenty of restaurants, groceries, stores, etc. close by. We had a wonderful time anchored by a wonderful Home base. Thank you!

Loved this property!
My family had such a nice stay in this lovely home. We had everything we needed to be very comfortable. The kitchen had everything we needed to cook meals. There is plenty of space to spread out in the two living and dining areas. The backyard is very nice and we enjoyed watching a thunderstorm from the covered patio. That's a sight we don't see often where we live! The hosts were very nice and contacted me prior to our trip in case we had any questions about the property or the area. It's very evident the hosts want you to enjoy your stay and even provided a basket full of literature for the many attractions in the area. I highly recommend this property!

Our party of six thoroughly enjoyed it! It was evident from all the little touches such as the welcome basket and the bows tied around the towels in the bathrooms, this was a quality place to stay. It was very clean and the back covered patio was where we enjoyed hanging out the most. The owners even texted us while we where there and made sure all was okay. Our only regret was not staying longer!
