This is a classic country motel, nothing flash but clean and has everything one needs for a comfortable short stay. Air conditioning, a fan, mirrors, extra pillows, good access to power points and lamp switches and well placed bins. It is also a short 10 minute walk to the main street of Boonah.

I read the varying reviews on this hotel and I was a little wary but tbf we had no issues with the place. Yes it’s dated but it sort of goes with the wackiness of it all. Good sleep, decent room with a view, great breakfast and all within a reasonable price. The view from upper rooms are just worthy of * themselves. Don’t be put off by bad reviews the hotel is fine and cheap.

I grew up in the area. It's nice to visit with an "old friend". Easy on the hip pocket, friendly helpful staff and within walking distance of everything you need. Even if I don't require accommodation, a trip to "The Aussie" is a must whenever I travel to Boonah/Fassifern Valley/Scenic Rim!

Katy the owner was so friendly as well her dog Butler. Beautiful river which is easy access from the cabins. Our stay was short due to other committments during the day but by night it was so peaceful. We bonded because of no wi-fi which was great not having kids or us on technology. Different experience for us from our normal hotel/motel stay but we loved it.
