Property claims they credited me mistakenly and then ran my card multiple times to recoup the “claimed money owed.” These were illegal and an unauthorized transactions to my card- they did not follow proper channels to resolve the issue with the bank directly and violates the Fair Credit Billing Act. Worst, they didn’t even tell me they were going to do it. Also, the room product varies drastically. This past week we were squeezed into a room with two double beds that you could barely walk around in. Several issues with noise, questionable guests, a domestic dispute in the hallway, drug use in the parking lot. I just moved to Wakefield with my daughter and needed a place to stay until our furniture arrived from out of state. This is the absolute worst hotel and needs completely new management.

The view from the window was amazing. The room was very small and felt cramped. Carpet felt sicky, and had burn holes even though it was a non smoking room. Towels were really thon, and rough. And they only gave us 2.

The property is extremely dated and there doesn’t appear to be any evidence of interest in improving it. They don’t come in to take the wet towels and provide a new supply next day, and oddly enough don’t have hand towels.

Would I stay again? Maybe.

Room 146 may have been in the process of renovating-I hope. The tub had been painted at some point, and it was peeling. The shower curtain was grimy. The smoke alarm had black plastic wrapped around it, like they had been painting. There was one bath towel per person, no hand towels, no toilet paper holder or towel bars. The beds were beginning to be squishy, and with just one chair in the room, you had to sit on the bed to put shoes on. The climate control didn’t even turn on, so no way to cool the room. On the up side, breakfast had a decent number of options, and the view from the breakfast room looks out over the lake, which ,add for a relaxing start to the day. All staff we dealt with were helpful, polite, and noth was too much trouble.

Staff were super friendly and accommodating. We had a beautiful view of the lake. Our room was a bit tight but manageable. Restaurant in the bar was nice surprise. We’d stay there again.

So very noisy!!! No rooms are available not near their bar that has live music playing. Seemed unsafe to bring children too when there are tons of drunk people walking by at all hours of the evening. Tv in room didn’t work, and they couldn’t get working. The walls were dirty. Blinds on the windows showed light through them all through the night & included headlights from the bar pedestrians. When we first arrived the front desk person swiped two cards for us, and then supposedly threw them away, but that still made us super uncomfortable that there was just two cards to access of our room out there that we didn’t see thrown out. Hey, at least there was a nice view of the lake when we ate dry eggs first thing in the morning!

A Place to Stay Outside of Boston

The staff was friendly. Live music playing. Very clean room and up-to-date. Well lit grounds, plenty of seating in and outdoors. No elevator to second floor.
