Remote country lake home
Property is a nice, comfortable home. However, it advertises it sleeps 8 with a pull out couch. The couch is old and worn and had no sheets to make it into a bed. Cleanliness could be improved. When you show up, be sure you have every item you need such as sugar, coffee, paper products and water. You cannot use the tap water in the appliances. Bring a bag of ice as there is no ice maker. The photo in advertising is not what you see when looking for the home. This is a lake facing image. The home me is called the Blue Heron and appears as a single story home from the front. It is difficult to find in the dark. Parking is easy but if you are driving a sports car it has difficult access on dirt roads. Regardless we enjoyed our stay and would return again. Bottom line, we enjoyed our stay. would return again

Lake Home in the woods
Quite. Nature sounds and at night you cannot hear anything. Wanted a nice clean cabin on a lake where I could kick back reconnect with wife and do nothing. This was it. Home on a lake is what it is. Drove around at night saw lots of deer. Fish in the lake that's never ben caught. Old rock concerts on you tube. Rain on roof was awesome on covered deck. Awesome place. Ideal for quiet family time
Terrific place--roomy, well and thoughtfully equipped, lovely views. If members of your party can't handle stairs, this is not the place for you, because there are lots of them and they're unavoidable. You have to get out into the middle of the lake to swim--very weedy and mucky around the edges. But other than that, you couldn't hope for a more comfortable and relaxing place for some lake time.

Beautiful property and home with use of kayaks, row boat, paddle boards and pontoon (for a fee). Full kitchen with pots, pans, cutting boards, random spices, silverware, etc. Linens provided, too. Just bring your fishing poles and bait! We brought our life jackets, but they do have available, too. We will stay again! Great way to unplug for a few days from a hectic summer schedule and relax before getting ready for the chaos of school. Rhonda was responsive and available when needed. Thanks for a nice few days away.

We had a wonderful time swimming, fishing, and taking the boat out on the lake. The location made it effortless to relax and spend time with family. The home is beautifully furnished and accommodated all 3 of our families comfortably. We really enjoyed the upper and lower decks and screened in porch in the evenings. The owners were extremely welcoming and allowed our dogs to stay too. Great experience and will be back!

Property is even better than the pictures.
It’s not often where you walk into a property & it looks better than the pictures online. It just made sense once you see the place. I was wondering why the kitchen was downstairs. You actually enter through the second floor because the house is built into a hill right off the lake. The balconies had large wonderful views of the lake. In reservation it mentioned to bring coffee pods for the Keurig. I hate keurigs so I was pleased to see there’s a regular old fashioned coffee maker there too. We bought some eggs for breakfast but forgot seasoning. So pleased to find salt and pepper after checking the cabinets. There’s a half bath downstairs which came in really handy when I had to blow dry my hair at 6AM all while everyone else was sleeping upstairs. There was so much space inside. We loved the sitting areas upstairs and downstairs. We had some bonding conversations and laughter in these rooms. The extra blankets were super cozy & came in handy while chilling on the couch. Now I’ll mention downsides. The property has a few spiders. I come from an urban area so these spiders were big. There was one spider living in the shower. My husband relocated that spider outdoors. It’s not uncommon to live on a lake and have some insects. It’s totally reasonable & I felt the downsides are so minuscule. One other con was the inside of the fridge was a little dirty. No food was left inside just crumbs and couple hairs. Overall 10 out of 10. Beautiful property!

Quiet Oasis
This is a GREAT lakehouse! Plenty of things for our 4 kids (Ages 10-19) to do! While it was chilly during our stay, they still got out to kayak and fish. The fire pit was nice for smores at night! The beds are comfortable and the kitchen is well stocked!! Plenty of silverware, plates, etc. Also plenty of pots, pans, cookie sheets etc. We were able to cook during the entirety of our stay! Floors were a little "sandy", but there's no way around that since this is in the country on a lake. We just wore slippers and shoes inside. It wasn't a bother. While the location was a little hard to find, we loved the adventure in finding the house and REALLY enjoyed how remote the location was!! Reading is a quick 5 minutes away and Hillsdale was a short 25 min drive. Would definitly recommend this house as it was a relaxing time spent with our daughter at Hillsdale College! We will definitly be looking to stay again while in Michigan!!

Peaceful Lakehouse
The lakehouse was a little hard to find, but the owner was very easy to contact and responded to us quickly whenever we had questions. The location is definitely off the beaten path, but it was perfect for what we needed, and there are a few stores within 15 minutes so you are never too far away if you forget something at home The home was beautiful and had plenty of room for all of us to stay The backyard is on a pretty steep hill, but the steps are long and easy to walk down to get to the lake/firepit The floors were a little bit sandy/dusty, but with the house being on a dirt road and right on the lake, that is to be expected. We normally wear slippers/house shoes anyway so it wasnt a big deal. There was a broom in the closet so we were able to tidy up a bit throughout our stay as we tracked in a bit ourselves just bringing in our things for the weekend The kitchen is stocked with some basic essentials like plates, cup, etc. but there were no trash bags provided. Luckily we always come prepared and had our own The beds were very comfortable and the couches as well, I even ended taking a nap on one of them! There was a bit of dog fur on the furniture, but we dont mind considering we brought a dog of our own. We know how hard it can be to get out of nooks and crannies, and it is to be expected in a pet friendly rental Overall, it was a great stay and we would definitely come here again if we were in the area
