Stood outside property for a good 10 minutes knocking on doors and windows. No-one seemed to be around and we almost left.
Once inside, we were directed to our room upstairs (no lift as we often found in the older accommodations). Floorboards in room were lifting and felt very unsafe. Mountain view was just a hill. Mainly the view was the back yard, which was rather an eyesore.
Bathroom seemed to have been renovated. Shower was good but nowhere to pop soap, except the floor of the shower. No towel hooks for damp towels to air/dry. Door opened practically onto hand basin and toilet extremely noisy.
Service at breakfast was slow and everything had arrived lukewarm or cool, apart from the tea.
We read reviews that appeared rather good but they obviously didn’t stay in the twin bed room (all doubles had sold out).
Overall, we would not go back. Terrible stay!
This B&B is a total gem. Quaint and rustic, john the owner is hospitable and friendly. He gave us fantastic advice on what to see in the area, he is a true ambassador of connemara. Also, do yourself a favour and eat and Patty Coyens down the street. There is also a fantastic little beach down the road from the B&B, dont miss it!
This guest house is so homily John the owner is the best host I have ever met and his staff

Very friendly and helpful! Housekeeping staff was delightful. Breakfast was superb! Agreeable to our special needs.
This is an older property so do not expect fancy decor & amenities. Parking was easy, convenient and free.
Local information was shared with us.
We especially liked being near the ocean. A few restaurants close by for lunch dinner. Travel time to sights are within a 1-2 hour radius.
Incredible experience. John, the host, was kind and informative, with great recommendations for local restaurants. The room was modest, yet comfortable, and checked every box for a B&B in rural seaside Ireland. The views from the windows are mind-blowing and the breakfast was delicious!
We stayed at all different kinda bnb in a week. This was the first and nice place... owner very fastidious...just a note the attached restaurant in some pix is not open need to drive to or walk to town for a pint and or dinner nice view
The view from our room window was fantastic! The staff was very friendly and helpful. The room was lovely with a spacious bathroom. I highly recommend this Bed snd Breakfast if you are in the area.
shower was covered in mould, the wooden floor had splinters --was wet from shower and it was buckling with mould visible ....the nails were coming through. It was noisy until midnight .
