The hotel sent an email on the morning of our expected arrival, stating they have had “a fire alarm system malfunction, for that reason our property is closed and we can not accommodate any people here.” Unfortunately, they also have not responded to requests for refund. It is now 10 days later, and still no refund and they are unresponsive. Hotels.com states they are unable to help with this. BEWARE this hotel.
Booked for rooms. Got an email with the code for one door to do self check-in. Landed at 22:30 and baked for the other does when we got to site. Like pulling teeth to get two more door codes. When asked about the fouth we were ignored. Finally settled into the rooms thinking i could get the fourth tom refunded. It's been a week and the customer service is awful. Avoid this place like the plague.

Disliked: Staff & service, amenities
The kitchen was completed closed. All utensils were locked and was very inconvenient and inconsiderate to guests who may arrive late at night and want to have some food! Even the microwave was literally locked from being able to use. Terrible service! A million rules to follow.
Super quiet for being right next to the airport. We got some great views of the glowing volcano in the middle of the night. There were not any issues with access to the shower or bathrooms as they were shared. The kitchen was so coinvent and nice to have for your morning coffee.
Wh had an o overnight stay before a flight. I can't imagine staying here otherwise. It's not in town but as far back of the airport as you can get- a 10 minute drive.
The room was clean with two single beds and a chair. Everything white except the window blind.
Almost all hard surfaces. Noise travelled far. Every trip by anybody to the shared bathroom was heard.
There was a shared kitchen with coffee (cappucino machines) and tea evident. Some mixed nuts were in a dish.
We did not use the kitchen as we arrived at 8:30 p.m. and were gone by 3:30 a.m.
Getting to the room was through various corridors and through the kitchen. Moving 2 heavy suitcases was cumbersome and noisy.
Bit for Iceland it was relatively cheap and it served its purpose.

Trying to charge me extra for washing some bed sheets and towels. Just like thr rest of the country, theyre nickel and diming me. Iceland has change so much and not for the better. This hotel is anoyjer example of that.
Broken shower, no bedside lamp or table, very uncomfortable, lumpy and badly made bed. 'Kitchen' had no cooker except for a microwave. Windows actually screwed shut by an amateur!
It’s ok for 1 night. Very clean and warm.Cosy nice decor. That’s what we liked
In general the next time I’d choose different place. There was no any water in the morning ( for drink, washing or toalet) because of volcano eruption and we understand and didn’t complain about it but the owner wasn’t happy that people used plates for breakfast in the morning because they couldn’t wash after themselves later. Well I think people who paid for their stay have right at least to eat breakfast or use toilet. I need to add that nobody informed us earlier that there is problem with water. We found out from our driver so I resumed that the owners of this hotel knew as well
