So, it was our first time stay in Reykjavik. Hòtel Múli has a ridiculously poor customer service. As we arrived from the Keflavík airport, we tried to get into the hotel. We could not because as it turned out the hotel is self check-in and guests enter the building by entering the code. No one had sent a code to us. The only e-mail that we had received was:
“Welcome ********** ********
Thank you for choosing Hótel Múli

So, we had to wait under the rain for other guests and ask them to open the door for us. Once we got inside we tried to figure out how to get into our room. There were no one at the reception, we had no e-mail with instructions and we were slightly panicking because we were in a foreign country, Sunday evening, outside is pouring rain and we booked the room and cannot get inside. There were absolutely no staff members and no instructions what to do. Thankfully, another guest had arrived and we asked him for help, he agreed to open a safe with the keys for us, we found the key with our name on it and after half of an hour of struggle got in the room. However, then we had another problem. We could not even go outside to find a place to eat because we did know the code to open the door and get back inside. The hotel refused to issue a refund
