Very comfortable
This is a no-frills hotel that does a really good job. Facility has got a little age on it, but the management is clearly putting a lot of effort into making it a comfortable place to stay. Pet-friendly is sometimes difficult to find, and this place is really good at a really good price. Protein options at breakfast, located near dining options and close to I-95, comfortable bed. Hard to beat at this price!

Our family stayed after a long day at Kings Dominion. Great location for that. The staff member in charge or breakfast was great. Everything was stocked and cleaned continuously. The bed was comfortable. There was a strange smell and the bathroom was missing some tiles. Overall it was worth the money!

This place smells.
Terrible terrible terrible smell in my non smoking room. So bad we could smell it on all our clothes when we left for the day. Going back in to the room was a bad experience. I wouldn't stay here again if they paid us. Avoid this place if you are even remotely sensitive to bad odors.

1st room the toilet did not work the toilet ran over at 5:30 AM I called to the front desk to complaint the lady brought me a plug and handed it to me You know what I told her. I was move to a 2nd room at 5:30 AM that room was worse Heater didn't work toilet did not work at all the nozzle to flush was broken. What a horrible experience I had. I thought I was on TV nightmare on Elm Street Horrifying conditions at that Hotel never again will I ever stay at a Quality Inn Suites In life. I have traveled all over the world from South Africa to Alaska Germany, Switzerland, Australia, Paris,Rome, number of other places. But never had I had an experience like I did in Ashland, Virginia at Quality Inn Suites.

Staff were ok. Rooms smelled like an ashtray and mildew! They showed me 3 different rooms but they were more or less still stinky! Furniture old run down. Plus breakfast cut off 9am too early. Why not 10am like most?Never will used Quality Chain. It’s not quality at all! Sorry.

It’s a clean, up to date, budget hotel with exceptional beds and good service. It’s within close proximity to Kings Dominion and Richmond and a good place to stop over when traveling on I95.

Decent place to stay
You can tell it was renovated and it looks good! Thr doors to the room stick a bit due to the new paint but it was good for our stay after a long day at Kings Dominion. The bed was very comfortable if you like soft beds, which I do vs. firm.

The entire room was outlined with mold. Staples were sticking up from the carpet. The wallpaper was peeling off in the bathroom. Everything was rusting and there were stains/ spots all over the curtains. I took photos and videos of everything. The water pressure was terrible and as soon as you walk in the room, you get hit in the face with a wet smell. Really wish we hadn't gotten to the hotel so late at night or we would have stayed somewhere else. My 4yo daughter and I woke up with sore throats. Never again.

Everything was good overall. Our shower had a huge crack in the wall, that was "repaired" also the carpet felt kinda gross. I think it just really needs a good shampooing. The elevator was sketchy.

Not so good.
Booking and checkin was good. Room 205 had a filthy couch with multiple LARGE stains. The sheets on the bed appeared to be not fresh. Yea, we stayed there but not until we did a thorough inspection. The bathroom was clean.
