The property was outdated for being a 5 star hotel. Wallpaper was peeling off, dirt on the floor, tub wouldn’t drain - rooms were nothing special. We stayed here for a wedding. The ballroom and common areas were fabulous, so much history. If you look past all that if you are staying at the hotel, it isn’t great. They are charging far too much for what you get!

Staff was rude and unprofessional. Even wedding bartenders were rude. My room was disgusting and I had to switch rooms. Second room was better but price doesn’t match property.

There was no hot water in tub at night and no hot water in sink in the morning. Room was too cold and when I raised the thermostat to 75, it when down again to 68.

Inconsistent service and amenities. We had 3 rooms. Each room had things missing. One room didn’t have towels, other room was missing a shade, shampoo and conditioner. One room had a welcome gift but it wasn’t for us. After we let them know, they actually came and took it away. The bathrooms were dated and whoever caulked the bathtub didn’t know what they were doing! For the price we paid, we should have had excellent amenities. This is supposed to be the DuPont Hotel, where US Presidents and other famous people have stayed.

This is a beautiful old hotel. The room was spacious and comfortable. The staff at the front door and front desk were very good. The hotel is pricy. The only issue I had was that my water and coffee were not replenished. I called down and they said they would send some right up but it took a long time so I was gone when it arrived - no coffee just lots of milk

The hotel itself is beautiful and the staff was friendly. The room was very comfortable. It was about a 20 minute walk through mostly empty streets to the riverfront. Water kettle and tea bags were available upon request. There was obvious mold in the shower and the wall between rooms was not soundproof as advertised.
