Williamstone Cottage (circa 1920)

This beautifulĀ old stone cottage (circa 1920) has been created into a beach retreat only a short stroll away from all the fun. A great place to unwind and relax and great walks close at hand. Only 400 metres to Long Beach and the beautiful meandering coastal path into town.
Williamstone Cottage has 3 generous bedrooms. 2 Queen bedrooms with solid 1 foot thick stone walls and gorgeous high ceilings, and the 3rd bedroom with 2 single beds.
Ā The bathroom has a claw foot bath and separate shower. The central focus is the light filled lounge area with Smart TV, large couches and a wood fire for cosy nights. Wireless broadband internet provided.
The galley style kitchen and dining overlooks the private backyard which is fully enclosed and surrounded by beautiful old shrubs and fruit trees that provide shelter from the coastal elements.
Dine in style in the separate eating area. Double French doors open out to the paved outdoor entertainment area with BBQ and Market Umbrella in the summer.
We are dog friendly, one dog per booking unless prior arrangement.
The front verandah is gorgeous all year round. Cups of tea, lunch and afternoon drinks in the sunshine. In the summertime the shade from the trees is glorious. There is a small above ground water feature with statue in the front garden.
Williamstone Cottage is sure to impress all of its guests with is rustic charm and endless relaxation opportunities.

Beautiful cottage in a gem of a town

We (and our 4 legged boy) thoroughly enjoyed our stay at this beautiful cottage. Comfy beds, lovely light-filled loungeroom, well equipped kitchen, beautiful deep bath (quite a treat) and generally was just a gorgeous house. The decor, wall art and general 'feel' of the house was interesting and homely. Having our golden retriever Wilson with us, we spent a lot of time when home sitting out under the back verandah, as it was fully fenced and a dog's paradise (so many nooks and crannies for him to explore). The front verandah and garden was very pretty but our young boy can't be fully trusted to stick around and come yet, so we only sat out there for short periods. A seven minute walk to one of the best beaches in SA, and also lovely walks around the headland starting in town. The hosts Jo & Ben were easy to reach and wonderful to communicate with. Hint: Robe is a gem of a place off peak !!

short stay at the lovely Williamstone Cottage

Had a lovely break at charming Williamstone cottage - our only regret was not booking the house for more than 3 days - not long enough to properly relax and actually read the books we had taken with us! The cottage has everything you need for a holiday - very comfortable beds, well-equipped kitchen and beautiful decor. Highly recommend.

Quiet retreat

Fabulous Williamstone Cottage

We had a lovely long weekend at Williamstone Cottage, days reading in the sun in the garden and nights in front of the fire. Very much appreciated the fully fenced back garden which allowed everyone to relax not worrying about a dog getting out! A beautiful home for a very much needed relaxing weekend away.

Beautiful cottage with a great feeling of love. Great attention to detail with plenty of space to enjoy. Sitting on the front verandah with a drink and nibbles, under shady trees, taking in the water feature and bird life in the evenings was a great way to unwind. Relaxing Stay in Robe

This cottage was perfect for my husband and I and our dog to have a wonderful relaxing stay in Robe. Cottage provided all you need for a great stay, rooms were comfortable and we loved the old charm of the cottage. The backyard was fully fenced and our dog enjoyed running around. Location is perfect to walk to Long Beach or into town via the main road or the coastal trail. Jo was great to deal with and we would stay again if we are in Robe.

Great pet friendly accommodation

Only 10 minutes walk from a beautiful beach, very comfortable historic cottage with everything we needed for our stay. Not walking distance from town otherwise a perfect place to stay. Great backyard for our dog.

Fabulous accomodation

Really enjoyed staying at Williamstone Cottage. The supply of split red gum was fantastic and the coonara wood heater burnt beautifully and kept the house warm. Beds were very comfy and warm. Great location, easy to walk to the beach and only a 1min drive to town. My dog loved sniffing around the garden and it was great having a place that allowed her inside. Highly recommend!

General Comments

Property Presentation below average Its an old property and it shows. Airconditioning/heating is noisy. Wood fire is adequate but given it rained a lot while we were there it would have been appreciated if the woodpile was undercover. Location is average with a short car trip required to the centre of town. OK but not great value for money.
