Great location, lovely staff, terrible room
I'll start with what is good about this hotel: location, staff, cleanliness. The hotel Staff could not be nicer- so helpful and friendly and really lovely. The hotel is very clean and smells lovely at all hours. My room was cleaned very well, and the amenities in the room (towels, shampoo etc) were lovely. Sadly, the accommodation itself was not in line with this positive vibe. I was travelling solo, and was given a single room. The room is tiny, as is the bed. Which in within itself is not a huge issue, but when you pay £150 per night, you'd expect something slightly bigger. The bed was not secured to the floor and kept slipping and sliding throughout the night. The mattress did the same (the bed's surface is very smooth and slippery) and made me feel very uncomfortable during the night The aircon is hidden behind the thick blind out curtains- so either you sleep with the curtains open, or you have air-con in the room. Lastly, the shower ran out of hot water every time I used it which was quite unpleasant- especially considering it is a 4* hotel.

This hotel was in a perfect spot for connecting to transportation! The metro, public busses, trains, and all of the hop on hop off tourism busses were within a short walking distance. Likewise shopping and eateries. The front desk staff were outstandingly helpful and kind. The breakfast they offered each morning were terrific. The bed and linens were very comfortable! The only negatives I have are 1- the noise outside during early morning hours. We had 2 windows in our room and the noise woke us up both nights we stayed. (2) Also, sometimes when we showered, the hot water temperature was inconsistent- sometimes it was great and sometimes not.

Ok. The thing I’d wish they’d improve … the showers! It is, by far, not a major issue and a “wish list” item. Those darn hand-held only shower heads were kind of a pain. Now, for the rest: The staff is amazing. Truly, truly amazing. They’ll do whatever they can to accommodate your request. They came to know me on a first name basis, helped me understand the local customs, how to get around, and were just really pleasant to chat with when they weren’t busy. The rooms were clean, could be made as comfortable as you require. The windows opened and the early Fall air was refreshing, if a bit humid. WiFi worked well. Breakfast was 15 euros, the same as most hotels. The buffet selection was an extensive and tasty but I can’t eat 15 euros worth of breakfast so I would get a croissant and coffee each morning for my wife and I and that was very cool. I booked here because it is a five minute walk to the Rome train station and we did day trips to Florence and Naples. Obviously, you go anywhere from there. There are the homeless and you might get bothered by people selling trinkets but that’s part of the local scene and not the hotel. I’ll go back for sure.

The staff at at this hotel were phenomenal. So welcoming and helpful. I cannot say enough about how positive unexperienced that was. The only negative is the location. It is in great proximity to the termini train station, but the surrounding area is a little sketchy. We did go out in the evening and encountered no issues, But there is a lot of graffiti and begging on the streets in the vicinity.
