A few days before arriving we received a text from Costanza, checking our flight details, and when we would be arriving. I'd already checked out the street on google maps streetview, so I knew what the outside location looked like, and had read other reviews about where to find the buzzer. Check in process was easy, and the room was very clean. Our sheets and towels were changed everyday and the bathroom was spotless, so much so we left a €10 tip on the bed. The room we stayed on is on the second floor and the steps are fairly steep, to get to it, but you won't get a better location to explore Rome for a reasonable price, and is worth the slog. It does feel like you are a local resident rather than a tourist, and the Hotel reflects this, it's more Super Airbnb than Hotel as you would imagine a typical hotel to be. There's no manned 24 hour reception not is there tea or coffee making facilities but there was a minibar if you needed a drink, but we never used it while we stayed there. You get a key to the main door to let yourself into the building and another key to get you into the floor, then a keycard to get into your room, which doubles up as the method to secure power in the room. It was thankfully Air conditioned as it was very hot in Rome.
If you expect a hotel lobby bar and room service this isn't your place. If you want somewhere very comfortable to explore Rome then this is for you.
