We have stayed in a lot of Hotels in many countries but this was our worst ever experience. We booked a room with a refrigerator as this was a requirement of our booking and when we got to our room, no fridge, the noise from the roadworks was very bad ( no fault of the hotel) so I asked for a quiter room with a fridge, I was told that the rooms didnt have fridges and there were no better rooms even though we were at the end near the roadworks. I was later informed by another staff member at checkout that this person had lied to us and some rooms did have fridges.
In addition to this, when I checked my credit card statement 2 days later, I discovered that they had illegally deducted another $297 from my credit card. It has taken a week to get this money back and there excuse was that they had charged someone elses room to my card, there explanation for how this happened was not feasable and their reaction to our complaint has been disgusting. We have now been charged 2 foreign transaction conversion fees for these transactions which we will have to pay. The hotel has offered to refund these if we give them our bank account details which we would never trust them with. If you do stay here, make sure you check your bank statements after leaving because if I had not done that, we would be $297 out of pocket.
