Stayed during peak season (week before Christmas) and paid peak pricing, but the experience did not match expectations.
Check-in: Requested early check-in at 11:30am due to an early flight. Initially told to wait until 3:30pm, then repeatedly asked to wait until 4pm, even though guests arriving after us were given rooms. Eventually assigned another room after insisting. Room was not prepared for 3 adults and had to request housekeeping to add the extra bed.
Housekeeping & Service: On the second day, despite placing the “clean room” sign, the room was not cleaned and towels were not changed. The sign was removed and kept inside the room, raising questions about what housekeeping actually did. At reception, responses were cold and dismissive, including being told it’s “hotel policy” not to clean rooms daily (not mentioned anywhere). When requesting fresh towels, we were asked to collect them ourselves from reception as staff was “busy.” Phones in rooms do not work, forcing multiple trips to reception.
Rooms & Facilities: Rooms are very small, bathroom extremely cramped. Wi-Fi was slow, TV channels limited.
Food: Breakfast spread is large but heavily meat- and bread-based. No rice or noodles. Items ran out on the second day and the buffet remained unchanged.
Overall: Location is excellent and walkable, but service is inconsistent and often poor. Some staff were warm and helpful, others need better customer-handling training.
