I think this property deletes their reviews that are bad. We saw over 1,0000 4-5 star reviews, and we’d argue this deserves less than one star. After a long day of driving, all I wanted to do was take a hot shower. Upon arrival our room reeked of old cigarette smoke and there was no hot water. We finally decided to go to bed early for the night, when we realized that the walls were paper thin. I endured a sleepless night listening to a combination of the man’s next doors roaring snores, and the upstair couples’ reenactment of an adult video. I could even hear them say, and I quote, “Are you going to throw up? Are you okay?” So needless to say I won’t be returning, and I don’t recommend this for anyone looking for a nice resting stop on the outskirts of Davis.

Disappointing Stay Experience First, upon arrival, the remote check-in process was inefficient. Without an on-site front desk, communication was cumbersome, and the automated system required my passport to be scanned three times before it finally worked. Shortly after entering the room, the cleaning staff unexpectedly opened my door, which was both intrusive and unprofessional. The most unacceptable part was the repeated water outages — occurring on the first night and the following day — making it difficult to shower or use basic facilities. Lastly, the breakfast offered was also disappointing. There were no hot food, just basic bread and pastries. I cannot recommend this hotel due to these significant inconveniences and poor service quality.

You get what you pay for….lesson learned!
There are no human beings on the premises, behind the front desk, to welcome you and check you in. There is a kiosk where a person interacts with you virtually to check you in. It is super strange and not welcoming at all. Our junior suite was large and roomy, but it felt like a cheap, IKEA upgrade, and the large bathroom, with a tiny, coffin-sized shower with low water pressure would have been bearable, and I wouldn’t have minded, because “you get what you pay for”, but when the roof leaked on our bed all night, and the manager only offered to change our room a couple of hours before check out, I know we’ll never return. There was an offer of a discount on our NEXT stay, not any on this one. When the very sincerely apologetic customer service representative said she’d call me back after speaking with her manager, didn’t follow through and call me before we checked out, that was disappointing. There were no front desk customer service representatives on site, they communicated via text and phone and therefore we did not feel valued or supported.

cold night. heater incredibly noisy. no extra blankets as an option. very low end hotel. was the least expensive in town though. little staffing, they seem to rely on some remote operated kiosk for much of the time

The room was clean and comfortable. Standard amenities, nothing beyond a typical hotel room. The property did feel very stark and empty despite being a holiday weekend and us not being able to upgrade to a room with a king bed. We had faux wood floors and blinds - carpet and curtains would have made it feel more warm. Maybe we were in a pet friendly room? Got the impression that some rooms are still under renovation and the property is not complete. Very few cars parked there but still quite a bit of noise in the hallway at night. We did not try the breakfast, would be nice if it was offered an additional hour (to 10am instead of 9am). Online check-in did not save much time because the kiosk in the lobby didn't work. Online check-out was convenient.

Horrible having to check in with a machine and remote person. Poor instructions, printer had to be rebooted. I asked for a room on first floor if no elevator, was given a second floor room. Then I roamed around looking for elevator since no one to ask!

Very nice rooms and lobby. Very weird for Boomers like me to have a kiosk check in. The voice was so loud. No privacy. An older lady traveling alone doesn't want to share her details with the whole lobby. Otherwise great property. Lots of room to walk my dog. OK breakfast. Nearby market and restaurants.
