Staff at check in and check out were personable and professional. Valets were kind and opened doors for us. Property was unique. Included breakfast was plentiful with nice options. Room was spotless, beds were very comfortable. The kitchenette was useful with mini fridge and fully stocked cabinets, stovetop and dishwasher for those with a longer stay. Location is in Midtown Sacramento, easy to walk to concert venues, restaurants, with Sutter Fort and the State Indian Museum literally at the front door. Parking is valet only for a steep $40 with in and out privileges, so we chose to park on the street which is free at a meter after 6pm. Meters start again at 8am on Saturdays so we moved the car a half a block to a free spot on 27th. Great hotel, would definitely stay here again.

When we need to be in Sacramento a few times a year, I always check the price of Hyatt House first. The rooms are very clean, there's a lounge/restaurant on premises, and over a dozen other places to eat or drink within a quarter-mile radius from the hotel. The included breakfast, whereas still not up to European standards, is a step up from most American hotels (and certainly far above American motels). Occasionally something is happening in town (sports game, political things, conferences, etc.) which might make the price of Hyatt House exorbitantly high, but as long as it's roughly between a hundred and ten to a hundred and eighty, they receive my business. There are rooms that also have have equipped kitchenettes, which could be great if you need to stay for a long time. Short-term metered parking in the area can typically be found, and they do have a valet parking service, but I don't know how much that costs. It's ideal to be here without a car, and as long as you can enjoy/walk in Sacramento's heat, or take advantage of Sacramento's light-rail system, you can get anywhere you would need or want to go. The air conditioning systems in the rooms are excellent as well, and the bedding, and beds are very comfortable. It truly feels like a major step-up if you can get rates between a hundred to a hundred eighty. Above that, I'd look for air bed and breakfast places instead (and we have). Oh, it is also about only a block from the Sutter Medical Center.

First there is absolutely no parking anywhere. The meter parking was taken up and I wasn’t going to walk a few blocks and carry my bag while walking alone so I had to pay for the valet which I didn’t know was basically my only option upon arrival. Then I walked into the lobby with no one at the front desk and waited for about 15 minutes before someone came back. Then there was an issue with my reservation about what I was charged and being charged. Before my arrival I thought everything was taken care of and paid for and then when I arrived, and it just seemed like every employee I came upon wanted to charge me for everything. Then I finally got checked into my room and all the lights were on, the AC was off and it was 77 degrees in the room. It was so HOT. I tried to watch tv and connect my streaming services and that didn’t work either so eventually I gave up because the QR code just takes you to the hotel website instead of the set up page to help you connect your streaming services. Overall the room was clean and the staff were nice. The rooms were almost sound proof so I couldn’t hear anything from neighbors which was probably the best part. Just for a fancier and more expensive hotel, it doesn’t seem like they have it all together. Overall my expectations of this hotel were much higher then what I actually experienced. I probably wouldn’t stay here again.

We had a really mixed experience here. We arrived at 4 and our room was not ready, the genmtelemwn helping us was really nice, bit the lady that was his boss was rude and unapologetic. Our room wasn’t available until some time after 5. Over 2 hours from the 3p kick dead line. The bar staff was also rude and dispite there only being 5 people at the bar that already had drinks he refused to make us a drink and continued to talk with what seemed to be his friends

Convenient, close to restaurants, very walkable. The staff were very friendly (and special shoutout to the valets who were running up the block in 102-degree heat with a smile.) Breakfast was very nice. Mostly quiet. However, housekeeping is understaffed. Despite the paperwork saying rooms are cleaned every other day, I stayed here eight days and my room was cleaned and trash taken out only once, and that was only because I went down and asked (and then it wasn't cleaned until the next day.) I had to ask for clean towels and toilet paper. Because rooms have kitchens, things gets gross really quickly. Also, there is no self-parking, so add $40 a day onto your stay if you have a rental car. If you're staying for a night or two, it is a good choice. But pick somewhere else for a longer stay.
