I had a reservation at Hyatt Place Sacramento International Airport that I needed to cancel more than three days in advance due to a major winter storm that has placed multiple states under emergency declarations, making travel unsafe and in some cases impossible. Both I and Expedia contacted the hotel directly to explain the situation and request a refund as a courtesy. Despite the circumstances, the hotel refused to make any exception or show flexibility. I travel frequently for work and have stayed at many hotels across the country. What was most disappointing was not just the policy, but the lack of compassion and understanding during a widespread emergency situation. Because of this experience, I will no longer be choosing to stay at this property for future trips. I hope management reconsiders how they handle situations like this, especially when guest safety is involved.

The rooms are clean, but the walls are thin and it can get be loud. The staff was extremely nice and this place was our saving grace after 2 nightmare attempts to get a room before arriving here. It was a bit of a bummer that they don't accept the Chime card. I have no issue using my card anywhere else. I went to Vegas and used it just fine.
