Kan-a-Mouche is a little spot of heaven near(ish) to the Tremblant National Park.
It is rural Quebec at its best: naturally beautiful, charming, kind, and with lovely, well-considered food.
We had one of their motel rooms. It was simple, but also more charming than a typical model (ie log cabin interior, a nice soaking tub under the shower, a small refrigerator in the closet, etc). The room was quite lovely - all the more for its refreshingly reasonable price. The cottages looked even nicer, and were not available when we were there.
The proprietors were memorably lovely people, so helpful.
We had only one night to spend there while
in transit, but will definitely be back to that marvelous spot for a more leisurely stay.
PS bring lots of bug spray to anywhere in that region during summer, esp. June and early July. The black flies (which were far worse this year than in most due to late spring rain) were considerably fewer at the lodge than in the national forest. But just be prepared with all forms of repellent when going to any forest in Quebec!
