Before i say anything I will say the staff are fantastic. The hotel is dated. Rooms are not great and the beds are sold as king but actually 2 single mattresses pushed together. There is no air-conditioning or climate control and considering the rates charged i feel it leaves alot to be desired in rooms. Beds are also a little. Gym is good, location is good. At night you have an option sleep with door open and get attacked by bugs or use fans provided by hotel and slowly roast. The end balconies turn into a waterfall at night with water spraying out. As amazing as staff are i dont know if i would rush to stay at the hotel.

Not terrible .. but...

The hotel is nice, very modern and updated. Lots of amenities if you are needing to cook within your room, etc. However, the bed was VERY hard and the pillows VERY flat. The AC also did not cool the room so we had to sleep with the window open which meant we could hear a lot of outside noise. Sleeping was definitely difficult. Parking was ideal as the garage was close and affordable and very easy to get in and out of. I'm not sure if I'd stay here again due to the difficulty sleeping but if it wasn't for that, I'd recommend the hotel. There's a lot nearby to do and places to eat.

Great Stay Overall, But Mattress Was Too Firm

We really enjoyed our stay overall – the place was lovely and the food was excellent. However, the one downside was the mattress. Both my wife and I found it far too firm and had trouble sleeping as a result. We even checked with reception to see if alternative options were available, but were told that all the mattresses are the same due to health policies. It would be great if you could consider offering a more balanced mattress option – something with medium firmness like those used by Premier Inn, which caters to a wider range of preferences. Aside from this, everything else was fantastic!

Awesome hotel in Manchester

Great spot, close to lots of restaurants and things to do. It was our first time visiting Manchester and we would definitely recommend this hotel. The room was very clean and comfortable. The bed was a bit firm but not too bad. Parking was also very affordable.

I cannot say enough good things about this place. I’ve stayed in Manchester a number of times before and was looking for a couple of nights on the more economical side for a concert. I was a little maybe worried about location as have always tended to stay close to the main train stations but city suites 2 was off the charts quality. Easy walking distance to the tram. Great customer service in terms of welcome, answering questions etc. fabulous amenities on site, terrific food (breakfast was amazing) and an absolutely top drawer room. I don’t honestly write reviews often (and am kind of afraid writing this as don’t want folks to ruin my chances of getting a reservation in the future) but literally this place was not only too good to be true but it was everything it said it would be. Thank you. I genuinely didn’t want to leave !!!
