The only hotel I stay at in SLC

Kimpton recently updated their hotel. Sadly they made it look very boring and basic. It used to be so cute and fun. Still the best hotel in SLC.

Great hotel, mediocre restaurant. Room was clean and nice. Staff was very friendly. The restaurant was not great. Had the burger and blue cheese chips. Burger was so salty I could eat it, and I like salt. The blue cheese chips and very little blue cheese. Other than that the property was nice.

Very nice place to stay. Many dining options within walking distance. Parking rates are a bit high at $42 a day otherwise this is a great choice when visiting SLC.

No safety bars in shower/tub, have to call the front desk to change the thermostat, no windows open and the air gets stale. Room service is way overpriced and way too exotic for my tastes. Elk, buffalo, trout?? This is the fourth Kimpton hotel I’ve stayed at and by far the runt of the litter.
