We didn't stay. We booked a room weeks in advance. We had a pet. I had a Spanish speaker call over a week before our arrival to inform the hotel that we needed a pet room. (This is a support dog for a 80% Disabled Veteran.) When we arrived, they had no pet friendly rooms and they would not give us a room. The dog weighs 11 pounds, is hairless, danderless, but they would not accommodate. I told the clerk that we had called ahead, and she did not deny it, but just repeated they did not have a pet room, and she could not reach her manager nor do anything about it. Hotels.com tried to contact the hotel many times after the fact to get a refund, but could not reach the manager. Hotels.com finally gave me a refund on my "cancellation," because I rent a lot from them, but it is on my record and that makes me so mad. I did not cancel late. I was denied a room. There is a difference! Not hotel.com's fault, but DO NOT BOOK THIS HOTEL. If there is a problem, there will be no help for you from management. We wasted 5 hours getting a hotel (that would accept a pet) and paid twice as much as our reservation here had been. We go through Saltillo 4 to 6 times a year and will NEVER make a reservation at this hotel again. The manager, if he is not the owner, should be fired.
