Good: convenient location; white noise machine in room because it can get loud at night; Korres amenities; luggage hold if you arrive early Could be better: pool has no “free” seating - everything is on a pay basis. You either have to be in the pool or pay to sit somewhere. No one explained any amenities to me upon check in - I was left to figure things out (e.g gym, pool, breakfast).

It was in the heart of Gaslamp, right on Fifth Ave, central to night life. The rooms were a bit smaller than expected, I would say like a boutique hotel. Food and bars are all around, and a grocery store is not far. The breakfast options at the hotel are limited however. Weekend hours for the pool is questionable since there is a pool party that gets hosted, but overall it was a great location.

Front staff was pretty friendly and the location can’t be beat! Nice pool area on the roof. I have 2 complaints however: 1) I witnessed valet floor my car to beat a yellow light and that is simply not ok. Could’ve crashed or worst. Considering I paid $60 for valet a night, I’d expect them to take better care of my vehicle. 2) We found our room to be clean except for a pretty large stain of who knows what on one of the pillows.

We checked in on Friday 8/16 @ 4PM and the man at the desk was so friendly and pleasant I wish I remembered his name but he provided great customer service. The room was incredibly clean. Sheets and towels were also very clean. They serviced our room and remade the bed on our second day and gave us fresh towels. It is loud til about 3AM and we heard it on the fourth floor but I’m not upset about it because we were in the middle of downtown right next to all the clubs and bars so that was to be expected and the tv and noice machine helped with that. Over all was a great stay, we were happy with the location, cleanliness and customer service, I would recommend staying here.

I’ve stayed in San Diego lots of times but never the Gaslamp district. My 18 year old granddaughter picked the hotel. At first I was skeptical but It was GREAT! The room was exceptionally modern and super clean. The valet staff wonderful. Everyone at the hotel was so friendly and nice. The bartender again was just the nicest person. We walked to many close restaurants and even to see the Midway. Lots of nightlife after dark. Will definitely stay there again.

Valet was off to the side. Not the properties fault but it was a little annoying. I would still stay there again though. Also the pool looks a lot bigger in the pictures. It’s only 3ft deep and pretty small.

The location is amazing! Literally right in the middle of it all. Whether you’re looking for bars, cute coffee shops, or the children’s museum, it’s all within walking distance. One complaint I do have is about the pool. We arrived on a Wednesday afternoon and went up to the pool with our 1 year old. The only seating for the pool are the cabanas and we were told that as hotel guests we get a discount of $215. It was 5 pm on Wednesday and no one else at the pool. It was frustrating. If you’re booking because of the cute rooftop pool, don’t.
