Property not allowed for rental
Upon arrival we were told not to mention it was a VRBO and that we are the host’s cousins. Upon alerting customer service of this and the notice in the elevator stating short term rentals are not allowed, they said the host said the notice is old and no longer relevant, and the most they could do is a 50$ refund as it did not classify as part of the guarantee to find a place. We left, contacted the general manager of the building, and confirmed it was not allowed to be rented. We contacted VRBO support who, despite the previous agent saying it didn’t qualify, that because we left they could not do anything and that the Host’s ‘Family owns the building’ despite the General Manager stating otherwise. We’ve been in contact with the General Manager of the building who assisted us in finding a place to stay for our vacation. Do not trust this listing!!!
