Location, location, location! The house is located in an ideal neighborhood which is a nice 5 minute walk to the beach, yet far enough away from the hustle and bustle/congestion of the immediate beach area. Enjoy off-street parking along with ample additional street parking.
The sands of Ocean Beach (OB) are a pleasant 5 minute walk from your front door. At Ocean Beach you can enjoy an eclectic group of people, shops, restaurants, bars, antique stores, or just sit back and watch the surfers catch waves at the OB pier. Stroll down to Sunset Cliffs and enjoy enchanting views where you might even be lucky enough to see passing Whales!

Families can enjoy our close proximity to Sea World, which is only a 5 minute drive. If you want to catch some of the San Diego nightlife, the Gaslamp District in Downtown San Diego features hundreds of dining and entertainment options. The Gaslamp district is a 7-10 minute drive from Ocean Beach.

2 dogs may be allowed if the pets have been approved by Management and nonrefundable Pet Fee has been paid. Fee will be added to reservation after booking. To be considered for approval, Pet must be kenneled when unsupervised and dogs must not bark excessively.

Pet fee is $40/Night and for longer stays we can do a flat rate.. Inquire about our flat rates.

This small beach town is a favorite among locals who spend their days surfing, sunbathing around the pier, hanging out in their vintage VW vans, and strolling through the many surf shops, taco stands and antique malls. Ocean Beach has a throw-back groovy vibe of vintage SoCal, coupled with friendly locals and great dining

Nestled between the San Diego River and the hills of Point Loma, Ocean Beach is perfect for surfers to enjoy the waves created by jetties. The beach is also friendly for swimmers, sunbathers, even dogs too!

THINGS YOU SHOULD KNOW:

This is a NON-SMOKING home - no smoking inside or outside the home (NO EXCEPTIONS).

Due to the moderate coastal climate, this property (like most in the area) does not have air conditioning, however you will find ceiling fans throughout the home.

Please respect your surrounding neighbors. Our rental agreement includes a no tolerance policy regarding excessive noise, occupancy and/or parties. Evictions are strictly enforced if at any time our guests choose to disregard this rule.

For homes that allow pets there are certain rules that always apply. Pets are never to be left alone in the homes uncrated. If you plan on spending time away from your pets please find a doggy day care or crate your pet. You can call our office for recommendations or check the Welcome Book.

There will be a $40/Night fee if brining a Pet.

Ocean Beach lies in the San Diego International Airport flight path for some departing flights. No planes can depart after 11:30 pm or before 6:30 am.

Please be mindful of our neighbors during your stay. The property's quiet hours are in place to ensure that you and our whole community can enjoy a restful night's sleep. Great house for family and dogs
We really enjoyed our stay at this house. It was perfect for five people and our dogs. It had everything we needed. We loved being close to the dog park and the dog beach. And there are a lot of great restaurants in the area. The only downside to the house is the manual rolling garage door. It’s not that we were inconvenienced to operate it ourselves, but without a walking gate back there, it made it a bit difficult coming and going as someone had to put it down and then be picked up in front or walk around block, and the opposite coming back to the house. Besides that everything was easy and smooth. Also nothing to do with the house but Ocean Beach is right under the take off path of the airport so you get a lot of plane noise but you get used to it.

I gave it 2 stars since it did have 3 bedrooms and 3 baths. The house is nothing like the photos on the website and in poor conditions. The carpets are showers are dirty due to no proper maintenance. They ask to put the garbage out and the outside garbage can has never been cleaned. The neighborhood is not great either.

The stay was nice, I wish there were more kitchen wash rags and drying towels. Otherwise, we were all comfortable with our own bedrooms and bathrooms. The neighborhood was great, short walk to the beach. We did have an issue with the master bedroom light switch. I called the number on the wall and they came over the same day and fixed the problem. We would stay there again.

The property was great! Most everything was also! The only suggestion would be; Either put a man gate in the back to get in and out of to operate the roll up door, or repair it so the electrical portion works and can be used with an opener. It was a pain to leave, have someone roll the door down from the inside getting thier hands dirty and then having to pick that person up in front on the street. Also, we never could get the TV to work and the washer and dryer didn't seem to work properly.

Nice Location to beach but not clean
The listing makes the property look like it is very cute and nice and it is on outside and nice set up inside but it was not clean. all the floors were dirty and all the dishes in the cabinets were dirty. also there was fruit from palm tree all over the driveway which drew flies coming in and out of the property. And one night a terrible skunk smell woke us up. I let the property management know about smell and lack of cleanliness. they addressed the smell but did not address the cleanliness of the property nor have I received my cleaning fee back.

The house needs a little updating downstairs and better furniture and seating would be nice. The walls were dirty downstairs but other than these little issues it was a nice area as the beach was only a few blocks away. Ocean beach was nice and there was a lot to do. The bedrooms were nice and had fans and that was nice because it was hot. The outdoor furniture was nice and the fire pit was a cool place to hangout at. I loved the rear entrance door and enough parking for two vehicles. Even though I started with the bad it's a good spot and close to the beach.

Great location but with a few needed improvements
This property is walking distance to just about anywhere you need. The house was clean and had a nice patio sitting area. The only two not so good things about the property is the hot water issue and the dinning room area. With three bathrooms we were only able to shower one at a time or you would get cold water. I reached out to the mgt co and let them know but their response was “ok great” when I informed them about the one at a time issue and then said the instant heat takes a bit. But running water for 5+ min with no change of temp. Also this house does sleep 8-9 but only has a dinning room table that seats 4. It wasn’t the worst thing but something to think about if you were wanting to sit down as a family to eat.

Overall it was a very nice stay. We greatly appreciated the convenient location in walking distance to restaurants and shopping. We are also very grateful for the security fencing around the property and the ability to have our dog with us. Our only complaint is the squeaky bed springs in the downstairs bedroom.

I traveled with my wife and 3 adult children to attend my sons graduation from Marine Basic Training at MCRD San Diego. This house is an excellent location. We arrived late the first day. Walked to Jack N the box for some late night tacos. So close. We forgot bacon for breakfast. Walk around the corner to the store to pick some up. We walked to watch the sun set on the pier, Lovely walk. Walk in beach each morning and each night. The parking was large and secure. We really like this place.

Great Location, Parking is a Plus
We went to San Diego for a family reunion. This home was really close to where we needed to be and the parking in the back was quite helpful because street parking is nearly impossible. The garage opener didn't work so we'd have to drop someone off at the front of the house to run and open the door. Someone came by to fix it but couldn't get it working. Not a huge deal. My only complaint would be that the house was not as clean as we would have preferred. The dishes required washing before use and the kitchen pots and pans weren't well cared for. One pot we scrubbed and scrubbed to try to get it clean and we left it in a better condition than we found it but still weren't able to use it. There aren't a ton of dishes to go around so even for our group of 5 we had to run the dishwasher multiple times to make sure we could have dishes for eating. None of this was make or break for us, we just couldn't cook as much as we had planned to. We didn't find the airplanes overhead to be a problem and as some have complained about the neighbors, we found them quite friendly. If you aren't planning to cook a lot and don't have the highest expectations of cleanliness then this is a wonderful place. Having a bedroom & bathroom downstairs is immensely helpful for those who can't navigate stairs as well.

Walking distance to the beach and downtown. We had 2 little dogs with us and the yard was clean and secure for them to roam when we were at the house. One thing to be aware of is that it is directly under San Diego airport flight path so it can be a bit loud at times.

The house was amazing and very clean but if you like to only sleep from 11:30 pm to about 6:00 am, you will not like this house. I don't recall the listing saying the house is in the flight path but the agency was very strict about 9 on being quiet time yet there were planes going overhead about every 5 minutes. So kind of defeated the whole quiet time. Neighbors were super friendly and very sweet though! Overall had a great time but didn't get to sleep in much.

Great stay. Centrally located to everything. This is not the owners fault but the roll up gate in the back was broken and since that's really the only place to park it really sucked. The door is also in a back alley so Everytime we went somewhere I had to manually roll the gate up and down using a super rusty chain that stained my hands dark brown and then walk around the block to the Alley to get in the car. The door only rolls up and down very slowly as well. Took several minutes Everytime we left. Great house though!

Fantastic Beach Stay
After reading other reviews about this property I was a little worried about airplane traffic and a not-so-nice neighbor, but fear not friends, this is a fantastic place to stay. There is airplane traffic but it didn't bother us one bit (and, by the way, there is airplane traffic all over San Diego!). The neighbor was amusingly passive aggressive and easily ignored. What you should know about his house is that it is beautifully laid out. There was plenty of room for us all. Three bathrooms were a great bonus and the front yard was the perfect place for us all to gather. Blocks from dog beach, we walked down there almost every evening for sunset. The neighborhood was quiet and we met some lovely people while out exploring. There is a Target within walking distance, an organic grocery store right behind the property and a full grocery store blocks from the Target. Very convenient. The management company was very helpful when we ran into trouble with the "garage door" - many thanks for that! Speaking of the "garage door", we loved that we could park our cars behind the house easily but we also found street parking to be fairly easy to find for folks who came over for a visit. Overall I would highly recommend this house. Many thanks for a wonderful Christmas/New Year's stay.

Great house, fun front patio with fire pit and grill. The flight path of SDIA is right overhead so flights lined up in the morning start at 5:45AM and continue every 5 min for about an hour. Very loud!

This is a nice big house with lots of windows and everything you need for the stay. The biggest problem I see is having a full size bed in the Master bed room. Im 6 ft 180lbs and my wife is 5ft 4 130lbs and we barley fit on the small bed provided in the master. The dishwasher did not work during our stay. And I think the worst part is the neighbor next door hates the fact that the house next to her is a vacation rental and she's not afraid to let you know.

Fun short trip
Property was as described and we had everything we needed. It is located walking distance to dog beach, bike paths, shops, cafes, restaurants, etc. The main street is nearby so some busy traffic noise. It is also located in the flight path for planes in and out of San Diego so plan on loud jet noise especially morning and evening. Everywhere was pretty dog friendly and laid back. Our family really enjoyed relaxing in the area. It was helpful to have a few beach chairs and umbrella at the house to take to the beach. Loved that the yard is fenced with a gate so our dog could go in and out without us worrying about her wandering off.
