Check-in and check-out process:
1) Connor was on top of it, and sent us the check-in instructions a few days before our actual reservation.
2) Check-out steps were also really easy. Appreciate that we could just pack our bags and go.
Actual check-in situation:
1) Yale key code didn't work, so we had to use the physical key to get in and out. This was kind of a hassle given that we were a couple of friends who all had different schedules. So coming in and out needed a bit of coordination. I let Connor know of this situation via email, but I didn't get a response on how this was going to be resolved.
2) Check-in was 4pm- kind of late. Would be nice if it could be an hour sooner, regardless if there was a party ahead of us. One of our parties went a bit earlier, and was able to drop off their stuff in one of the rooms. That was nice.
Location and Neighborhood:
1) Location was ideal because we were so close to the Barnes Tennis Center, which was the primary reason why we were in town.
2) Parking was tough - no specific spots, luckily we only had 1 car. Or else it would have been tough to get in and out.
Cleanliness of property:
1) It seemed like only half of the home was cleaned when we arrived. Two of the bedroom downstairs were not clean at all. The beds had brown spots, one even had blood stains, and the pillows had a lot of little black dots. I was extremely unhappy about this, so we emailed Connor right away and he offered to have cleaners come in in the morning, or we could get a refund. Luckily the sheets were replaced the following morning.
Accuracy of online listing:
1) I was a bit misled with the outdoor shower. I didn't realize it was going to be 1/2 showers posted. So, you're telling me 4 bedrooms need to share 1 real indoor shower?? So, beware of that. It definitely was inconvenient.
2) The space is good for working, and the open space is nice for small gathering.
Others:
1) One of the bedroom upstairs had an incredibly small and short bed. It almost looked like a couch. Would advise that management switches out this bed to something bigger? Doesn't seem right for adults, and even kids.
2) The downstairs bedroom - the bed frame was shaking, and made sleeping uncomfortable.
3) I've lived in lots of shared spaces over the years, and usually most of them have a nice touch like coffee and tea. This place was completely bare.
Thank you Connor for hosting us in your home. I may look for a different spot next time, though.
