Rooms could use a facelift, but overall it was an amazing week! The staff is amazing, the food and on property restaurant optio s were really great. There was plenty to do between the beach, bowling, pool tables and ho-carts (extra $ of course). We did end up renting a car as it was farther out from San Juan and the excursions we booked than expected. That was actually an added bonus as we got to see more of the local culture than we would have otherwise. Great stay!

We loved our stay in this hotel. Kids enjoyed the pool and beach. We traveled during Christmas week and the weather was perfect. The hotel beach is clean and quiet. It’s far from Fajardo and San Juan city so you’ll need a car rental to go around. We recommend doing the bio bay in Vieques island. We felt that the check out time of 11am is too early. It’s needs to be around 2pm since check in time is 4:30pm. Our flight was delayed on the way back. The hotel did not accommodate our request to extend the check out time to even noon.

This property is WAY past its prime. Everything inside and out is either worn, rusty, dilapidated, broken, cracked, peeling, moldy, pests, or partially functional. After being at resorts in the Dominican Republic, this "American" option is a failed attempt in my book - basically nobody would visit it in the DR if it was an option there. 1. Room old, rusty, broken couch/bed, just plain wore out, but still functional 2. Outside areas have LOTS of potential, but show their age with rusty fences, cracked/spalled concrete, broken lounge chairs,etc. 3. Drinks are outrageously priced for what you get. To Hilton management: try making the area inviting with reasonable prices, proper staffing, and better food options instead of "how can we make as much profit as possible." 4. The nightly reception was a joke - celery and dressing, chips and salsa, and a trail mix. 2 drinks per person that are quite small. Embassy Suites (or: Embarrassing Suites?) used to actually have a fun happy hour at the past ones I've visited 5. Paid parking when they have a parking garage - just another money grab on top of the "resort fee" that is above and beyond the room fee. Overall, the staff was accommodating and helpful. The room staff always did a great job, the front desk people were fantastic, and the chef George was AWESOME and made the best omlettes. The failure isn't on the staff, but Hilton in letting a property get so run down and selling it as upscale - put $$ where it needs to be.

I’ve always liked this hotel. On this visit unfortunately the room I stayed in had some issues. Room smelled musty probably because the rug by a/c was wet, shower knob kept falling out, the sofa bed was very thin and felt springs, bathroom door didn’t lock, refrigerator wasn’t cooling. Hopefully they make some upgrades because we really like this hotel.
